It would be nice to customise individual games any way we chose in single playerBut this will lead to to many problems setting up multiplayer games as consensus would then be almost impossible. Both the Dawn of War series and Supreme Commander FA have customisable setups for multiplayer games as well as for single player skirmishes, offering a selection of victory conditions among other things. Both seem to have been fairly successful as multiplayer games.
<

ZJBDragon your right, I guess we should leave the forums to find its own standard, and if we ignore the trolls they will soon get bored and look for an easier fight elsewhere, sory everyone for inadvertently starting a fight, it wasn't my intention.
The best thing you can do is create more positive/constructive posts...and the let the trolls sink into the depths of the forum, unanswered and alone.
I couldn't agree more, If i'd realised what a thunderstorm I was provoking I would have never posted this thread, I still cant understand the anger of some people in answering this, but i guess ill have to chalk it down to ignorance, I will be leaving them to sink, I wont even be offering them weights, there far t
Complaining about it isn't going to do anything other than paint yourself as a target for trolls. This is the internet, people are jerks, etc. It's just the way it goes. The only thing you can do is try not to be a jerk as well and to ignore it.
lolol, omg you were so right, even the anti trolls are trolling me. ill just shut the fk up and leave the assholes to their bitter and twisted lives,

it was not and ever would try and bait people, but neither was it my expectation to be slammed for a valid comment, i just think your attitude is very confrountational, and this is my point, I am not a troll, but i suspect you are trying your best to provoke me into being one,
It is better for your sake to simply understand the troll, than to expect them to understand you. So to that end, understand that the resurgence of the same thread topic coming up every hour is the reason so many Trolls are cranky. For most of us, Doppleganger posts are to be expected, but you don't actually expect trolls to be rational, do you? Anyhow, feeding the trolls like this doesn't help. All you're doing is dangling bait. I beat the lock.
<br

It shrkes me in the short time I've been in these forums that there is a lot of arrogance here. So many ppl trying to shut down very valid comments and questions with arrogant and pompous one line replies like, duh, that's easy, I kick their asses on hard every time, this is just spam cause I said something about that in another thread. please don't ask such silly questions. I wont actually quote any ppl, but you all recognise the attitude. Why do some members i

Cant be arsed getting into fights so please ignore me. my thoughts are, It would be nice to customise individual games any way we chose in single player But this will lead to to many problems setting up multiplayer games as consensus would then be almost impossible. So I suggest, for single player, loads of extra user controlled settings (the possibility of changing as many aspects of game dynamic as possible, at game start) so that games can be
Wind Sage The AI has no notion of teams. While I was playing a 2v2, humans vs AIs, the AI team would frequently place bounties on each other's heads to avoid being attacked by pirates. I don't get it. Ive read through this entire thread and for the life of me can't understand where all the hostility is coming from. If theres anything thats going to split up this community its the sort of bitterness shown by some people here. not by adding some extra settings in the game.

I concur, theres a lot of feedback asking for faster games and slower ones also, so being able to set various aspects of the game to different speeds should satisfy even the most demanding of players. Harcon's idea of sliders seems to give far more scope than just a couple of extra speed settings. I hope the devs can sort this out and make everyone happy.
