Everytime I try to play a pantheon game I either end up playing against bots or, in the most recent cases, two on two. In both cases that I actually had multiple players my other team mate dropped a couple minutes into the game. In once case they actually messaged that they "didn't play against bots" even though there was 2 humans and 2 bots on each side. In both cases I ended up playing 1 vs 2 and holding the other team back for an extremely long time, and even being close

I deffintely agree with number 8...it's almost impossible to use the rook effectively in the larger maps without wasting gold on teleportation scrolls.
I never said the game was unplayable, just the online mode. I've tried about a dozen online matches in the past couple days; through the dialogue box I can see my computer is connecting to other no problem but invariably at some point during the launching of the game everyone is dropped and I end up playing a game against bots. Of the dozen or so matches I've tried only two actually had another human in it, one match all 7 people, the other that was a 4 vs 4 only
I really enjoy this game...but if you haven't bought it yet I'd suggest saving your money and waiting to see if they make the multiplayer fuctional. The game has no mentionable single player campaign and is supposed to be focused on online MP...but said online play is unusable at this point. So this game has ZERO value till they either provide a satisfying single player experience and/or fix the online play.
Or is that just a glitch. I've hit 'Launch Game' playing as the rook every time but have yet to play him in the game if it every manages to launch. Futher, none of those eventual games have posted as 'pantheon' games in my profile. You know, this game has a lot of promise...but for a supposedly 'multiplayer-centric' title you'd think they'd make the online component at least semi functional before they released it. I'm about to the point of putti
Heck...I'd settle for any game where everyone didn't drop while the game is loading. If I wanted to play against 2 AI's i'd just play single player.
Well good for telling if players are still there...but I think the glitch is still true.
I've had two games do this to me now...I think when every other player drops, even if you win it shows up as a loss in the 'games' tab. I just played one and had no indication that the other players had left other than no one responded to chats
I think a tutorial could help clear up some of the finer points like how does your war rank increase? Can I make it raise faster and/or stop the other team's from rising as fast?
Yeah, I always have a "thats it?" moment when I get to level 20. Also, there doesn't seem to be any way to prevent the other team from gaining the money needed to upgrade their Normal 0 false false false</w:AlwaysShowPlaceho
Nope, once you pick a side you are stuck with it till the next tournament starts.
At the expense of a few participation points in classes & friends yelling at me to get off the computer, I’ve been playing pretty much non-stop since Monday afternoon. Here are some thoughts so far on the game: EXTREMLY addictive. This is the great type of game that you sit to just play one skirmish and the next thing you know you’ve played 5+ and have lost 4 hour
WTF?
blaming gamestop for releasing a couple of days early only gets you so far...we're now well past the planned release date and glaring problems with the multiplayer that should have been non-issues LONG before they even decided to announce a firm release date persist.
Eh, It's already more than a 5th towards either team winning. By the time they get their on-line s*&t toghether it'll be almost over anyway.
I've gotten to the point it tries to connect to a couple players then the game just freezes...sometimes I can cancel and try again, sometimes the whole program just freezes to the point I have to restart it. For a game that is supposed to be multiplayer focused you would think these sorts of issues would have long been fixed in beta.
You shouldn't have to spend 20+ mins waiting to connect or find players for a game that is supposedly multiplayer focused... The game is awesome but this next to be fixed ASAP.
I've played two games online now, both of them without a problem during the game and I won them both. AFTER the game, howerver, after the screen showing scores and favor points comes up the games locks up. I've left it sitting for 30+ minutes after clicking continue and it never fixes its self...worse, my online profile never updates with my win data. I won't play online again till I have a fix for this.

My first game is going to be with the Oak, then the Rook, then queen of thorns
This is how I'll be spending the next couple hours till I get my Key and can start the download :)
I just got done playing with the Subcom demo...even with textures on high in ran fairly well even with quite a few units on the map. I think if worst comes to worst the low setting on Demigod will work. I'll post an update when I'm able to download from stardock.
Per suggestion in another thread, I'm downloading the Supreme Commander demo to try (the demo is huge though so I'll be a while. If I can get the Demo for it to run fairly well would it be safe to assume Demigod would run the same?
In Lawrence, Kansas I decided not to buy it though, even though I haven't paid for the preorder yet. I didn't buy it because I support Stardock's business model and how they treat customers. This will be my third game from Stardock (Sins & Gallactic Civs) and I can't wait.
