Stalker? Please tell me you don't have Clear Sky.
Should have made it clear, I have STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, and its a pirate. I have only really bought games from Stardock, Valve, and Creative Assembly.
Honos
So from what I can tell, anything by EA, Ubisoft or Epic is no longer kosher. Is there any other companies I need to avoid, I only ask because the last game purchase I made was Sins, and have since been too poor to afford anything else. Now that I have money again, what is safe to put on my computer? Until then, its Sins and STALKER (with the awesome /v/ modpack).
Before I upgraded to version 1.05, I was able to use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out in game, but since the upgrade, it has not worked. Anyone have a solution or help?
Scout at least a few planets out, preferably the entire system. I learned this the hard way when my cap ships were in a dead system and my homeworld gets raped by an early pirate raid. You suck up resources to buld/maintain capital ships where a cheap scout frigate with no military value can afford to be outside your defensive perimiter.
I downloaded some custom maps from Stardock to play on my Sins game, yet everytime I load one it automatically goes to the defeat screen without letting me play. What directory do I put the games or how do I fix this issue.
If you have seen my question about the pirate base assault, you will already know that I am playing a massve campaign map. My next question involves the use of the Vasari Dark Armada tech. So far Ive called it in twice and only gotten 5- 6 ships (cruisers and frigates) to show up. Is the number and type of ships decided by how many phase regulators you have or is it always that small?
holy crap...my cappie fleets are severly undersized if i need 30 carriers. thanks though.
Im using Vasari, I pull out when my auxiliary ships die and my capital fleet loses sheilds, and the pirate base is heavily fortified. I have something like 7 cappies, but theyre not totally upgraded yet so that might be my problem.
Depends on how you play I guess, my campaigns tend to have large battlefleets of capital ships jumping from planet to planet, then fortifying the captured planet before moving on.
Im a noob here, into my first huge game against multiple enemies. I located and isolated the pirate base early on, and have since attempted to sack it. However, my largest fleets find themselves severely reduced and defeated every time I engage the base. Keep in mind I pull out as soon as my capital ships shields fall and I am about 2.5 hours into the map. Is there any advice for how to conquer the pirates?
