I didn't take the time to read everyone's post, but I thought I would chime in a little. Sins hasn't been nearly as addicting as I hoped it would be. I think its because of the interaction with the AI via diplomacy. Its a skeleton frame at best. I know this arguement as been made once already, so please stay with me. The AI needs to make demands based upon its feelings for you, and not just demands but requests. Demands would follow threats, or not, depending on how they vi
I've been having another bug with v1.03. When I enable the larger fleet option all I get is the same fleet size as I was able to make previously.
It does not matter where you install forge. It only matters where you install the game. While using vista installing the game in program files can cause problems with the created maps. So just install the game outside of program files. Yes there is a way to set a home world. You have to select the planet that you want to be made into a home world. Make sure the world can be colonized, and then make sure, " home world" is set to true. Plus make sure you have it set to belong to a
If you're having trouble getting your maps to load you need to install it outside of program files. If you can't see your map, make sure hidden files are shown. Make sure it is in the correct galaxy folder. Because there are two different galaxy folders. One in the game folder and one in the mod folder.
I would also like to add that, wether I did something I'm not sure, "NewPlayer0 - Home" Is where I always start.
Storyteller18, you can do what I did, which is what Ron Lugge suggested doing. Just do one of two things: 1. Uninstall the game, and reinstall it outside of program files. 2. If the install time was too long simply rip the entire game from program files, and put it outside of program files. Any shortcuts you have would need to have their path changed inside of properties. But after I moved the game outside of program files it would load the maps I made perfectly.
Ah, so I'm not crazy, someone else is having the problem. It turns out I'm using vista, so I'm going to reinstall it in a different directory. I'll see what that does and report back later. About the shortcuts: Try to right-click and select properties. Figure out where the path to the original is and just move it. As far as stopping it, I'm not sure.
Still having some problems. I followed this guide to the tee, but the map I created simply does not show up in the map selection section. Is there something I need to do to make it show up, other then save it? I would also like to state that a second guide should be added to show how to use some advanced features, or how to add multiple opponents. I will say I had one map show up, but when I loaded it half the computer players died, even though there was a planet for each one
I've only been playing this game for 3days, and its been a blast! I thought I would drop in some of the changes I would like to see. -More options for creating a game, such as: Fleet limitations, Logistic limitations, Etc. -AI needs a little bit of change. If your constantly fighting anyone who isn't in a cease war, even if you've managed to wipe out several planets, they expect you to do missions for them. Thats a little unrealistic in terms of true
