On the other hand, I've bought pretty much every Stardock release over the past five years or so, with the exception of Demigod. I know I'll get a good, engaging game that doesn't need a thumbprint and a blood sample in order to use a product that I own. As long as Stardock keeps making games I like without the intrusiveness that I despise, they'll keep getting money from me.
Same. What th

Woah thank you. I've been Googling and perusing the internet over the last two days, starving for more on this game. (I'd read about it from Gamespot a long time ago and I seem to have misremembered when it was launching but became very excited that the "GalCiv2 Guys" were making a fantasy 4x.) These links definitely help. :) Edited: reduction in emoticons for the sake of consistent line breaks.

I really can't wait to try this, I've been following but didn't until recently know the beta was gonna be opened for preorders. This game looks so incredible.
In a demo video released, I believe, on June 3, the narrator showed a Sovereign casting some sorta "life" spell so he could start his town into a thriving greenery and not some wasteland. I assume by the merit of symmetry in fantasy that there will be some kind of death spell like that, performing the reverse. Even if it is that limited (as in, if tile value is all we can do with life/death), it seems a likely route for both mods and possible expansions. Life and Death a

The Beta 2 Notice said late Spring right? That gives 'em one of two weeks to release it, if it's automatically a Thursday (June 21 is the start of Summer). Out of the 10th or 17th, I really hope it's tomorrow, I've been dying to try this game out.
Congrats, sir. :)
Actually that Colony > Constructor thing could be extremely useful, I didn't even think of it. For whatever reason, during the "expansion phase" of my games, I end up either having too many constructors or too many colony ships when I need the other. Thanks!
Are you using Stardock TotalGaming.Net application or Impulse? Reason I ask is: I couldn't update with the TGDN application (through which I originally bought these games) but when I downloaded, installed and ran Impulse, the updates worked.
Beautiful stuff, the only thing I want now is a cohesive "screenshot" system, where you can put a bunch of screens in numeric order in a folder somewhere. Otherwise this looks fantastic, can't wait! :D edit: Regarding this and Stardock's Sins of a Solar Empire - these free updates that actually do improve the game is the reason they'll get my repeated business. Game designers and publishers can take a big clue here, just sayin'.

You guys are incredible, just FYI. I LOVE some of these, amazing jobs with the Star Trek ones. And the animated ones, I jumped in my seat wishing there was an animated component.
