I too thought something like this would be a nice addition.

i was fighting a series of battles with the computer on the Twin Empires map. Twice, once versus and Ankylon and Once versus a Ragnarov as the Titan reached 0 hp it simply disappeared instead of exploding in spectacular fashion. Anyone else experience this?
Was there a reason the Coronata's point defense capability was removed? I thought the whole point of Titans was to make them capable of engaging whole fleets?
I have also noticed that ships can end up inside Asteroids and moons....Anyone else notice this?
Mine does minimize at random sometimes.
Yeah pirates have been frustrating from the moment the game was released. Being raided 20minutes into the game by half a dozen heavy cruisers plus numerous other ships is very difficult to defend.
@ sniperium But in real navy terms you would have those hulls to use, already built. In game terms your argument doesn't really make sense. The developers have implemented a unit that renders light frigates, Advent LRF, carrier cruisers useless. These parts of the tech trees are supposed to be what? Distractions for new players to waste time building?
Does it feel odd to anyone else that tiny corvettes get multiple weapons good against different target types but frigates are stuck with one or even no weapons (carrier cruisers). Part of me thinks, corvettes are kind of what I had wanted frigates to be in the first place. That is, for example, LRF would have a main heavy long ranged weapon, but would have some anti-fighter weapons so they wouldn't be completely helpless. Or that Carrier cruisers wouldn't be completely helpless against wel
Has anyone noticed ships and star bases ending up partially inside of the Moon type worlds?
I guess the real question is " how to encourage players to create balanced fleets instead of spamming a single unit.
I have been experimenting with both advent factions since the release of Beta 2 and I have noticed that Crystal resource lags behind metal no matter what I do. I even went so far as to try as Advent loyalist with no metal upgrades and max crystal upgrades. Even so crystal production lagged far behind. Has anyone else noticed this? If it was just one match I might put in down to poor access to crystal asteroids, but in three matches? And even after several hours and many acquired ice planets,
What if corvettes had to be attached to specific units. Example, your usually helpless carrier cruisers could be given a screen of corvettes to enhance their survivability? And different types of corvettes could be assigned to different major ships ( say cruiser and above) to augment them in some way. In much the way corvettes were used in the World Wars. Screening elements for high value units (battleships) or as escort to protect trade routes. This of course makes their implementation
I get where the developers are coming from with the Loyalists trying to unite everyone into the Unity and the Titan fits that mold with powers to steal enemy ships and planets (those two abilities really highlights their philosophy). But yes I would agree that the Rebel Advent do not seem to have real distinguishing features. For a group that is supposedly focused on destroying anything that is not part of the Unity they are really just Vanilla advent with powers to help kill them
