Subversion isn't the problem imo. They buffed it a long time ago. Starts off ok. Ends up being brutal if you ever get it to level 3. One of the things people don't realize about subversion is how long it lasts (a damn long time). I dunno how you should be asking from the support class. Between the Rapture (I think that's the advent support cap), Marauder, and Dunov, the abilities they bring are all great, but they're not direct.....they're indirect support. The marauder provid

Carriers are the counter to lrfs. Or at least they're supposed to be. Right now, you can make 1 flak per squadron of enemy strikecraft ( or whatever ratio fits ur fancy), and then just fill the rest of ur ship slots with lrf's. The lrf's don't have to worry about fighters, and can just maul the carriers because now.....they can catch them. Before they couldn't. To me, it's wrong when the ship that carriers are SUPPOSED to counter can just maul carriers to bits Order of speed should be

Overall the Vasari are weak. I agree on this point. What makes or breaks a vasari's game is whether he can get to neutrals. Neutrals are their life. With that extra cash, they can buy more ships to compensate for the lesser effectiveness of their ships. Without neutrals, it's farewell Vasari. They need those neutrals to spur their early game econ for fleet and later to buy buildings to help an eco that's too neutral reliant.

Can an Amishman get a decent teammate? Over the past 3 days I have been losing. Constantly. Not me losing mind you. I've been playing games where I either had a 2v1 from the start and recieved no help or won a 1v1, but no one else on my team won their personal battle. Here's what I've seen. In 2v1, I'll hold my ground, but in 2v1, against two competent players, I don't care who it is. With no

It's the neutrals. On a map with enough Neutrals, the Vasari rock. Without them....they crash and burn. It's a gamble when you choose Vasari. If there are gonna be plenty of neutrals then by all means, but if there aren't going to be neutrals, they're in a bit of a pickle. If the neutrals could be balanced somehow....(put an allegiance on them like with planets damn't), the Vasari could probably be fixed, but overall.....the Assailants is weak, the Skirmisher is weak, the enforcer is

Actually, missile barrage helps set the TEC apart imo. Each race has abilities that are so powerful, and they're the only race to get it. Advent: Shield Regen (Very Underrated), Colonize (So Underrated), Provoke Hysteria, Telekinetic Push (Can shove entire armadas of strikecraft), Vertigo (Quite underrated, at level 3 it lowers enemy dps by 60%) Vasari: Nanite Disassembler, Gravity Bomb, Planet Drain (all on one ship mind you), Volatile Nanites, Desolator Seige abilities (Bett

Kinda.....tier 1 military upgrades are ALWAYS worth it. The upgrades for health/armor/shields at tier 1 are so inexpensive that they're always worth it. 400/500 cred and 25/50 crystal is a laughable amount to pay for what you're getting. Tier 1 weapon upgrades probably aren't a bad investment either, but if you don't have anything that fires lasers, then don't bother obviously.

I feel I should clarify. I was under the impression that no one was using it, or at least, few were. I still get heat when I make them, so I wanted to see if there really are people out there using it. Nice to know there are.

Mainstream wasn't the word that came to mind to be honest Darvin. I still get mocked by people when I make them. My impression was that few people were actually using them. I was curious to see if that was true.

Can understand that. In all fairness, it's not so much that carriers can't do the job anymore. It's that once the flak show up THEN they're screwed. This is also why I try to not play rush maps. Rush maps are where you're hands are tied and there are only so many strats that can be employed. When the map gets bigger (not too big mind you), the options become more diverse and overall more fun. That's just me though. The fact that the majority of the community seems to love 5v5 huge sin

Well, if you're looking for a downside to lrf's, the best option would probably be to make them much much much much much more frail than they currently are. Am I saying give them a -75% health, -75% shields, no armor? No, no no no. But something along the lines of taking the current lrf's and lowering their combined hp/shields/armor by say 30-50% would probably give some good results. The in game description says they're supposed to be frial. Well, I can definitely tell you. These ain

I don't want to start a hostile arguement here. Why'd you hate it? I get a little lost when people say they hate the strategy. I'd like to know why.

You're welcome and thank you. If you're ever online I'd be glad to go 2v2 against 2 AI and give ya some pointers if you'd like. Just look for Raging Amish. More often than not I'm on. Typically during eastern standard time hours in the evening.

Oh, I had a thought for something that may or may not deserve to be mentioned on this thread. It's about Missile Barrage. For the record, I think MB is fine. Each race can counter it with another capital ship ability. TEC have Ion bolt on the Akkan and Magnetize on the Dunov. Advent has Antimatter bomb on the Radiance and Reverie on the Revelation. Vasari, however, has only phase out hull on the Marauder. I would say the Devastator is a counter, but the anti-antimatter ability on it j

Out of curiousity, I'm wondering who out there has used scout rushing in some way, shape, or form, at some point and had it pay off? Just curious. Say you did it, and I'll give you karma.
