Hey now, the counter to a spam is to "spam" the counter. Dunno if you can really call countering spamming....but hey, if the boot fits, wear it! Oh, and if we could play a game soon Scoutter that'd be good. Not a 1 v 1 per say. Just in the same game. I'd rather just get a new replay than dig through my old ones to find one, thought I know a few are back there.
Raging Amish
Oh, and I thought about it. To me, the team player is the guy who perfectly assimilates himself with his ally. They work together. Move together. Take advantage of merging two races tech's to make one UBER fleet. I like the way you put it when it comes to most DT's. We're cowboys who focus more on getting ourselves up and running into a wrecking ball instead of working with an ally to become a joint-wrecking ball. Also, do you think it'd be fair for me to write a review about myself o
Ur time is coming scoutter. I've just done clanners first because they're the names that popped into my head first. @ Cykur: Yep. Feel the love. I'm gonna be tweaking this as I go. I'm writing this without looking at replays. As I play with people now, if I see enough I'll come back and adjust.
True enough. I'm still tweaking this as I go along. Made a few adjustments. Will probably make adjustments in the future. Suggestions for adjustments are welcomed with open arms, however beware of my pitchfork that I have hidden up my sleeve.
If you think I missed something, don't hesitate to tell me.
Ok, so I think talking about broken Illuminators and saying how you beat them is a dead horse. The entire community seems to be behind it, so I figured I'd go into the best answers you've got for repulse, the OTHER thing that needs fixing. Here's my take on the best current options to fight off someone abusing repulse, and it's in order from most effective to least effective. TEC: Opti
You just made my day. Best. Reply. Ever.
Why did the woman cross the road? The better question is why wasn't she in the kitchen.
Yeah. Star. For the record. My opinion is high of you. Me saying you and how write biased papers is like being a teacher who gives a student a 98% on their paper and then proceeds to be an ass and rip on them about what they could have done to get the extra 2%. So, I think the real answer is that I'm just bored at work, and gots time to kill!
You got me ravok, i don't know. I don't know berz that well and you will notice I said that list is in no particular order. Berz has only shown me Illum spamming. Is that all he knows? I'm guessing most certianly not. But all I've seen is that when he plays he gets Illums, more Illums, some guardians, and to replace his lost Illums more Illums, even when the Illums are facing their counter. 1. Illum spammer does not necessarilly = skilled 2. When he faces counter to Illu
Well, TEC starbase has a magic red button ability that will make the SB explode and deal 8000 damage to anything in the aoe. Very effective. Kills all but caps. LRMS lose to Illums, so don't bother trying. TEC scouts beat Illums, and I'm pissing a lot of people off with this discovery. TEC Repair bays rock. Marza should be ur first capital ship for missile barrage at level 6 (ability destroys entire fleets). Kodiaks still kick ass. Hoshikos still kick ass. Fighters don't reall
Actually, I think fleet supply is the best judge for balance. I've got numbers floating around, so I'll send them your way, but you've gotta remember something. People max their fleet out to whatever level of taxation they're at, and probalby sit there for a while. At least that's what I do. There's no sense in getting bigger, so what you see is a fleet that stays the same size. That's why comparing ship slot for ship slot is the wisest test method to get a baseline figure in your hea
Hell. While we're at it. Get rid of quick start. I liked the game better when quick start wasn't there. Quick start makes rushing TOO easy.
Hull Armor Sh
Damn. That was quick. It's just a first run down. These were just names that popped into my head. Nothing's anywhere near close to final, so just relax. True. These posts are kinda pointless. But I'm also kinda bored and don't have access to a comp to actually play sins. And I know what's coming next. I only did mostly DT's so far. DT Bias. I ran down DT's list first cause I know their play the best offhand without having to get onto sins. BIA, DU, rest of DT, and "mercen
To categorize people so far, we've seen Star Player and How write lists consisting of tiers. I'm going to go into Tier's as well, but I'm going to get a bit more in detail. The list is going to be compiled slowly, and the big thing I want to do here is get as little bias possible. I'm going to be as honest to DT members as I will be to DU and BIA members, and anyone else who desires to be mentioned here. I know I'm going to catch som
These lists (How's and Star), are written by guys in clans. Clanners are going to be more disposed to thinking higher of their clanmates b/c we play with them more and see more of their capability. In all honesty, there are only 4 poeple I would put in tier 1. I'd put 10 or so in tier 2. Actually, what the hell, works reaaaaally slow today, I just might make my own. Make it a little less biased. Or at least TRY to make it a little less biased.
The first buff was done because Advent didn't have an antimedium ship. What was wierd was Advent could easily be light firgate rushed and there was nothing you as an Advent could do about it. Your best option to fight a light frigate rush was disciples, and then your opponent would just bring in his lrms/assailants and maul you. The first buff was desperately needed. It was really wierd when Illums did capital ships damage. The increase in damage was to offset the loss in damage multi
Crusaders are awesome, but they only come about at tier 5, meaning in an online game you either need to be playing a LONG game where people are actually 6-8 jumps from each other to start so you'll have time to go straight to HC's, or you have to rush them and your econ is going to suffer heavily. We've all seen HC rushers online. The problem is we've seen people fail so hardcore using the strat, that no one does it anymore with how quick games are. I guess it depends. If you haven't
My money is on the Kodies. Best Default Armor. Reintegration on the Enforcer could be the tipping factor in that battle. Destras actually do the best DPS per ship slot of all the HC's. Good question. Only experiments will tell. Kodies vs. Destras is probalby gonna be a tight one. Kodies are slightly tougher. Destras do slightly more damage. The enforcer results rely soly on whether it's got reintegration or not. Should be interesting I wouldn't be surprised if the Destras are
Do what the Amish do. Give the kid a hoe or a rake and send it out to work in the field. Hell, I'd dress the kid up, send it out with one of my other 5-6 kids at ages 1-10 and use their cute faces to sell strawberries on the street corner. You think I'm joking? That's what we do! Hell, give that kid a whip to use on the horses. Teach it to work! Oh, but in all seriousness, congratulations, congratulations, and congratulations. A baby is by far a better thing to invest time in than thi
Hmm....points three and six USED to be true. I remember too many times where my opponent retreated and then left his fakes behind. Point 1 is my main point though. I'll renig point #6. Shame it's not true. Damn. Microing them still works though. Best TEC Answer: Scouts & HC's Advent: Your own Illums, Scouts, HC's, unless he abuses repulse, then u need Illums Vasari: Flak and/or HC's
Erm....no. You people couldn't be more wrong about Illusion for the Illum. 1st: So to start, they are easy to pick out. Take a look at the Illums. If it says "abilities disabled", that's the red flag for Illusioned Illums. In the side bar on the left side of the screen where you see all of the frigates/caps/buildings in that grav well, you will notice that ALL of the Illums that are fake are at the end of the Illum section. It's easy to micro by just telling your ships to aim for the
My money's on the smurfin. I've been smurfing a bit too. Tyr's back. DU and BIA have been around. DT seems to have disappeared a bit, but we're still around. I dunno. It'd be a shame if the community honestly disappeared.
I'll make my arguement again, but this time I'll explain. Yes, the enforcer is a beastly ship, yes, 1 v 1 enforcer beats anything, but it takes up 12 ship slots. Here's what I see in the stat comparison of 6 kodies vs. 5 enforcers ( 60 ship slots for each side ). Both are unupgraded Hull: Kodies 6300 vs. Enforcers 5875 Victor Kodies Armor: Kodies 5 vs. Enforcers 4 Victor: Kodies Shields: Kodies 3600 vs. Enforcers 3500 Victor: Kodies
