Many thanks, Basj, easy but brilliant. I've added a screen snip of your tip to my Cursors folder, program zip, and a bunch of other places so I'll never lose it.

That's the folder they are all in, and it has both .CursorFX and .CurXPTheme files. Just posted to the thread "Installed cursors not showing up in CursorFX" where pelaird said the last cursor file (alphabetically listed) in that folder wouldn't show up in the app list for him, and I had the same issue with this one I particularly wanted but couldn't make appear when double-clicking it after I reinstalled the program (which is why I proposed a search box within the app). Turned out there was a

This is very weird, because the one I wanted that was not showing up was - like yours - the last file alphabetically in the Themes folder. The only difference is that mine was a CursorFX file that wouldn't show up. When I added the CurXPTheme file for the same cursor, that one became the last file in the folder, but it is also the one that now shows up in the app.

I love Windows but can't stand anything about its default GUI, which is why I jumped on Windowblinds and bought it in 1999 (version 0.80 - I still have the instructions and registration email!) and have owned it ever since, and I also got every GUI-changing app that came along after that (Xion, Rainlendar, Rainmeter, Winamp skins, Windows startup and boot skins (I wish you could still do that in Windows 10!!!), some great desktop widgets, etc. etc., you get the picture). Every time I built a

That's already where they all are. Others are installing but not one I have always used a lot. Hmm. I had always used the .CursorFX file, which also works for the rest of them that I have tried. However, I just downloaded the .CurXPTheme file and that one did work.

I reinstalled CursorFX v.4 and only the preinstalled themes are showing up in the program. When I go to one in my archive that I want to add and double-click on it, it says "This theme is already installed. Use the CursorFX window to activate it." But it is not listed in the Cursor FX window. How do I get CursorFX to display it in its list?

Thank you for such a quick response, basj! Installing v.4 did the trick and it starts fine now. What I need now is for it to have a search box where you can go to and apply cursors you have saved on your hard drive. I have a lot of them in the correct folder under Users, but can't see a way to get to them in the program. I don't remember how I added them before.

I have been using CursorFX for years on my PC with no problems, but all of a sudden now it (CursorFX.exe) won't start. I am using Windows 10 with the latest updates and have done all of the following: completely uninstalled the program, then downloaded and installed the latest version that is posted (2.16), start as administrator, ran DISM and System File checker (scannow) to find and repair any corrupted files. None of them worked. I thought I would use System Restore to restore my PC to a m

You are SO right, naroon1!! (" If we do not support our Master Skin Makers, they will just give up, and that would be a Loss to all who love to customise Their Machines, This can not happen. I have a dual boot setup to Windows 7 Professional and Windows 10 Home on two different 2TB hard drives. I normally use Win10 but this morning decided to revisit the Win7 installation and discovered that some things needed to be re-installed. Does anyone know what are/were the last versions of WindowBlinds and Deskscapes that were for Win7 and if they are still available to download?

That's what installed from my newly-purchased-from-Microsoft full retail box and System was telling me it was up to date (green check mark and all). I had to do a manual check of Windows Update after reading your post to discover there was an update to 2004 mentioned completely separately. [e digicons]:omg:[/e] I clicked on that, installed it and am now at Version 2004 Build 19041.508. I appreciate the heads-up!! [e digicons]|-)[/e]

I have built my own from scratch for 25 years so that I can put in what I want and update individual components when needed instead of having to go along with proprietary packaged systems. I just saw this, and am stunned to think you will not be here. I have so much of your work! There will be a big hole no one else can fill, and while I wish you the best, I wish more that you will reconsider or at least not be a stranger. And when you visit, keep your name so we know you're here! I am officially in mourning now... [e digicons]:'([/e]

Really? REALLY???? The content available to us here is simply MAGICAL and I can't believe anyone would complain that the price for any of it is too high. Are you serious? Have you considered how much time and effort goes into making these things? I don't know how much minimum wage is where you live, but the price of a premium skin works out to PENNIES an hour and not many pennies either. And so many THOUSANDS of other items are offered to you for FREE. The generosity of every contributor who

I just reinstalled Windows 10 on a new hard drive, and am attempting to reinstall my Object Desktop apps starting with WindowBlinds. I downloaded the most recent one available. Upon installing, 2 issues arose: (1) The taskbar does not skin. I am using the same WB as before and did not have this problem with my previous installation of WB in Win10 on the old hard drive. Everything worked perfectly before. (2) I followed the link in the WindowBlinds setup screen "Learn mor

Issue resolved, don't know how though. I apologize, I signed out of the Forum because I had yardwork to attend to, but every so often I came in and simply restarted my PC via Windows Start Button>Shutdown>Restart (did not install/uninstall anything) and checked it the next time I came inside. Lo and behold, after a few restarts everything reappeared. However, I have taken note of the PURGE instructions seen above and in some other threads. Next time an issue comes up, it i

I was just notified of a WindowBlinds update so I downloaded & installed it - after install it is identified in the systray as version 10.82. Since the install, all of my desktop icons are now missing (and are not hidden). Running Windows 7 Professional, WindowBlinds 10.82 and Deskscapes 10 (do not have Fences installed). Any thoughts?
