Somewhere along the way I must have done so and not remembered, as WB says it is version 10.8 now.

Just a quick, mysterious update. Have not installed any new software nor updated any since my last post. But now - POOF! - the desktop icons have reappeared, and have been stable for a couple of days now.
I make the icons with Icon Developer and then change them on the desktop individually in one of two ways... For the standard Windows system icons, I only keep the Recycle Bin icons on the desktop (for easy access) and I change those via right-click Desktop > Personalize > Change desktop icons. For the others, I usually make a folder that multiple icons/shortcuts will go into, then change that folder's icon via right-click on the icon > Properties > Customize > Chang

They are custom icons I made that look like they are part of the wallpaper/dream, and the only reason I can access their content is that I know what and where they are. Nothing new there, it's something I
Hmmm... Just installed the latest WindowBlinds update (from the update notification that pops up) and now the correct CursorFX cursor is working on top of DeskScapes, but all of my desktop icons have disappeared again...
Many thanks AzDude - especially since it is one of your beeeeyoootifulll DeskScapes (Vintage Oil Scape 4) that is currently the victim of The White Arrow!
A couple of issues arose after installing the latest DeskScapes 10. I am running Windows 7 Professional and have always had absolutely zero problems with Object Desktop apps up until now. First issue: All of my desktop icons disappeared. They would momentarily flash when I moused over their location(s), but I found nothing that would make them visible again (Desktop>View>Show desktop icons has always been checked). After some restarts over the course of a week or so, all of a su
This clarification is much appreciated - I have saved the thread in PDF format and added it to my purchase/registration records. Many thanks!
Many thanks for the ideas. I will see about gathering the ones I really want and obtaining permission from the authors before asking RND to "gadgetize" them. I'll contact you about further steps. It seems such a shame to lose this capability, as many of these gadgets & widgets were VERY well done. I wish someone would write an app (to convert them for later OS desktop use (I use Win7 and I would absolutely pay for such an app). I would think the original authors would be gla
Is there any way to use DesktopX objects & widgets with Object Desktop or any other currently-available Stardock software? There are some that I would REALLY love to be able to use.
prehaps some one can take a peek and give me some insight?
AAAhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My sides hurt from laughing so hard!
For me, none of the buttons show up at all until I put my mouse on an individual post. And comparing mine with RnD's, they also seem to move around? On mine, quote and reply are on the right side as in RnD's screenshot, but report is on the left side next to the thumbs-up karma button. I'd attach a screenshot, but the insert image feature will only accept one from a URL, not one from my hard drive...
It's actually called Awesome COsmic Powers https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/dream/449/ Thanks for the vid - most of the dreams pages at wincustomize used to have video previews, but I'm not seeing them any more and I miss them.
After using WindowBlinds since 1999 (ver.1!) and then other Stardock apps on machines running Windows 95 through XP, and I now want to put Object Desktop and ObjectDock Plus on my latest machine running 64-bit Windows 7 Professional. I am currently using WB7 and CursorFX, but now that the DeskScapes Dreams I coveted when I had WinXP will run on Windows 7, it's time to step it up. I'm going through the Stardock forums to learn ab
FWIW, both my machines at work and at home have this text in the search box (and if you click in the box, the text disappears). The machine at work has 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium OEM. I wouldn't know if the text only showed up after an update on that machine, because they got the computer in June but I didn't start using it until September. It has never had Impulse, WB or any other Stardock product installed on it. This machine (home) has 64-bit Windows 7 P
I just downloaded WindowBlinds 7 from Impulse and went through this same thing (previous versions were MUCH easier as Impulse wasn't involved!). First, Impulse has no readily visible info on how to download & save software when you don't want to install it on the spot. By fooling around and right-clicking on things, I discovered the "Download and Archive" option. Selected that. Watched it download all 54.20 MB of WB7. Impulse does not show the download filename was
