WoW. After reading all that, my eyes are watering. I'm a newb, but here's my 0.02$ worth. first off, imho the ethics of galciv2 DA is a lil flawed. I have edited the races i have played against. making the dredgin, derdgin(war party, evil, militaristic, etc etc etc) and making terran, terran(populists, peace loving, anti-militaristic) and the results are about the same. somebody will usually try to extort me, and then go to war with me. and half of the time it's a "good" r

if ya look to the left, you'll see it say no image. tryin to figure out how i put one over there. went to my account and uploaded my images, i got one for my profile page, and i uploaded one for my icon, either it's not the right icon i'm thinking, or i don't know what i'm doing wrong. does this sight seem a lil laggy to ya'll? thanx gents
I don't think so m8. i think the best thing u can do is research trade, and build yourself a galatic privateer, it'll protect all of your trade routes
Hi! Possible reasons:1) When your treasury goes over 10k, trade income halves.
my treasury was over 60k, and the change didn't take place until war with the terrans
2) Some of your freighters simply restarted the trade route (returned to the starting planet and started a new travel).
i was thinking that, but considering that i had over 2k of trade income from roughly 15k to 60k, i know that me freightors had to do at least 2 or 3 trips in there.
Ello Gents Here's the situation. b4 the terrans declared war, my trade income was well over 2k. i had 8 routes going to the alterians and i had roughly 10-12 econo bases(each with the traderoute freightor $$ increase mods) along the freightor trade routes. As soon as the terrans declared war(via one of those diplomatic events that spiral outta control) i now notice that my trade income is around 672$(which i believe is what it was b4 i went hog wild on the econ
last night i went in to my device manager and updated all my drivers. Well i tried updating all my drivers, via windows update. W update said i had the current driver(IE: A suitable driver for this device is already installed. To keep the currently installed driver, click Cancel. To search another location for a different driver click back, or to reinstall the current driver, click next) yet i have CTD's(not every 5 minutes, but prolly anywhere between 1
how do u destroy planets in dark avatar? i checked planet details screen, i can destroy the colony, but the planet quality still stays the same(which then another civ will come along with a colonizer, and i'm back to square 1). I do it to create a firebreak, and to make sure that no one civ(besides mine) has too much power. But please tell how i can turn these planets into to quality 0.
Ok i thik i figured it out. if u hit dest

Greets gents. earilier i was asking for yours help with some of the paramaters of the game. thankyou all for helpin me out, it's here if u wanna see it https://forums.galciv2.com/305763 anyoo, this is a tactic i do to keep the neighbors from becoming unruly. i have a cluster of planets that got hit with the precurser thingy which sets all the planets in that solar system to like 14 or something along those lines.&nb
Thanx Lightwalker. I'll give that a shot. Alex, i'm playing a custom race. and as far as i can tell, i'm not picking in the edit phase as evil minded. lighwalker, no i'm not starting out as evil(i have to research ethics) but when i begin a game i look at my civil engineering tool(the place where u can set your govenors to build stuff on all your planets) and in the ethics bio or whatever it's called. I'm all the way on the evil side. and this is turn 1!!! Anyhoo
noticing that everytime i play a new game, that i start out in the ethics department, as evil. Wouldn't it make more sence to start out as neutral? considering that it's the biginning of the game and all? Or am i missing a crucial beginning "before the game" setup procedure?
So is this considered a bug, or something that's supposed to be, but hasn't been fully updated as of yet?
now for my next question. . . is that gonna change? I would like to have life support mean what it's means. if that's the right way to say it ;)
thankyou Iztok. Piznit, yea i do have the white ship boundry, and it never changed, which make's what iztok says all the more reliable.
Greets, playing a custom game on gigantic map. My lil corner of the universe and i'm set. i see some trade hopeful's about 12 sectors away(sector as in the big blue square that your only allowed to have 4 starbases in) anyhoo, i slap on a whole mess of life support, and see that via the details screen on the ship builder, that my happy lil freightor should get there and make me some green. only it doesn't. and stops like 7 sectors away. So i upgrad
Greets Gents I'm noticing that my starbases are costing me 5bc a month each, yet when i look into the details screen, it says monthly cost is at 0bc. Anybody else see this?
I take it there are now Dark avatar map editor :(
Ok peps, tried out your suggestions, and my gameplay has expanded Quite well :) thanks gents currently in a gigantic map with teck Super slow, and only hapitable planets were me and the other races, needless to say, this is now Right up my ally. On top of that, the Dreggies have to put life support to try to get to me, lol. lil ships missles bounce right off my armor. I also broadened my defence. in stead of having some super way kewl armor, i now do all 3 at the sa
thankyou gents, i'll try that one out and see how it goes. But your right, this game calls for a different strategy i'm used to. Once again, thankyou for your info :)
My gameplay style is basically. pick up a few good planets close to home base and then maximize the planets and starbases. with DA i had to tweak the starbases. on the planets this is what i usually run. 3 factories, 1 farm, 1 entertainment complex 3 research and 3 money makers. with that strategy, the ai(sub-normal) usually out classes me with logistics and ships(it's kinda sinking feeling when u see 4 20 to 36 hp doomlasered frigates coming at ya, especially
Is there a map editor for DA also is the Star settings(IE rare, uncommon, common, abundant) set numbers(like 10 or 13 for rare stars) Could u all pls point me to a good place that has some good info. I checked the players guides, i'm just tryin to figure out if there is like a super FAQ for DA. Srry if the second question is obviously found. I'm new here :)
I recently purchased the gold edition from GameStop. I went through many gamestops to find it. The first few had the game, but the seal was broken. I asked the sales person if I could look inside and they let me. In most cases the inside was gutted - no CD, no manual just an ad sheet. Theyc hecked the back and told me they sometimes take the contents out for display purposes, but no dice.I finally found one in a store that was till sealed.Seriously, in on mall someone gutted all copies in
Did you buy a new or used copy?
Deffinantly new. I had the salesman open the game and it was all celafane wrapped and everything.
What does Super Warrior have to do with Pirates? The Pirates usually go high on Defense anyway, so Super Warrior won't be too useful against them unless you have very high-end optimized weaponry. And they are the ones who come with fully optimized ships, not you.
Sorry M8, i should had been more specific. I was talking about the game GalCiv DA. since i have the right copy, i'm playing on that. not playing DL anylonger, since DA looks mundo better.
Did you buy a new or used copy?
Nope, I made sure of that, when i talked to the salesman
The Arceans superability is super warrior, i think its called that. It means that if they attack you and they have enough firepower to kill your ships, then you won't get to fire back at all, regardless of your weapons. If you attack them, their superability doesn't apply.I can't tell you about the number of digits, but if you are playing a used game and the previous owner
