sorry i didn't read this sooner.. i think it's important to remember that 'america: the good neighbor' was written in the early seventies.

true, but alot of their basic, core attitude about life changed dramatically.
paxx, my good friend actually, at the time they were backed by US funds and personnel, the afghani forces were not engaged in terrorism. they were simply one of the elements defending against the CCCP military. unfortunately, once common goals are eliminated, people often realize how very different their long-term, wide-angle agendas are.
hi plastic. most have actually been in the library for a long time, more than 2 years in some cases. they were originally upped by the people listed, but an account number system wasn't in place of course i guess on looking through, the only one that makes me curious is 'bluegold' which is of course the icon set in yoshihiro kondo's 'another sugar plate iii.' i'll check it out <img src="http://i
the only way i know of is to use desktopx, replacing the icons with analogous dx objects.
toasty & mian rhino (and d).. their site is still up! tech13 (big time!) copland floach wow, too many.. all those mentioned above too. i still love to run inkman and morpheusx' windowblinds.. nice inkman's just lately went offline, but borgx is still online.
the last time i talked with greg (creator of kaleidoscope) he hadn't really put much effort to skinning osx yet, but assumed it would eventually be done (at least by someone.) he's a math professor there has already been one theming program available for skinning osx, but the legal costs facing the guy (of defending himself against apple) made him just close it up :/ this was a few months ago. <b
hopefully florida can take your computer woes from your mind have a good time!
you can also get it stand-alone, and it's available as a demo as well.. of course by following the link above you probably found that out to install, just choose 'save to disk' when you dl. then doubleclick the file when it's done, and as long as the default location is cool with you, you can just 'next' through the screens. it'll be at c:\program files\object desktop\iconpackager. you can also
let me preface by saying i understand all about differing tastes, and the desire for variety. after all, right now i'm listening to type-o-negative with ozzy doing a cover of 'pictures of matchstick men' on internet radio. that said, it really confuses me why the adamant (and often irrationally irate) demand to serve -every- taste and option continues to re-surface. i think an appropriat
hegremet - please repost your last one, minus the profanity
at slashdot he would have gotten moderated down to a -1, and no-one ever would have known... pretty machiavellian, in some respects. many sites outright ban peoples' ip.
excuse me? it certainly wasn't my intention to seem flippant. heg, throughout this thread your stated goal has been consistent, that the about page be changed to reflect the fact that wincustomize does not solely comprise the skinning community. i sought to point out that this already appeared in the document, albeit not in the 'mission statement' proper. also, i must say frankly that your comment toward craeonics was not only abusive and uncalled for, but indeed repulsive. please r
top 10?! holy catz!
oh, and brad - in my interpretation of the constitution, i think it was unconstitutional for the south to secede.
sigh... hegramet: i copied and pasted the following from the much maligned little 'about' page, with surrounding text for context ..to an Apprentice. To become an apprentice one needs to be contributing to the skinning community in some way. WinCustomize is not the skinning community, helping other websites in the skinning community counts as well. An apprentice can.. it has read this way for the history of the site.
also, for now, if you have object desktop you need to select 'show all components' in the download area of the component manager. by default, the betas aren't shown.
x 10s are these crazy little webcams they advertise via 'pop-unders.' you don't know it's there until you close your browser with the close box, then lo and behold, it's not really closed because there's one last window - the x10 ad.. i'm sure some ad agency told it would be 'dramatic' ;]
buzz, if you receive any unwanted oprah skins, feel free to send them my way.. hehe
- you are number 6. - i am not a number! i am a free man!
a good place to start with litestep is the lsd4p build.. static directory structure, so it's friendlier
it's a problem with recent nvidia graphics drivers. nvidia is working on it find your graphics card type: right-click your desktop, then go to properties/settings. it's listed under the monitor pic. find your video driver: right-click your desktop, then go to properties/settings/advanced. then click either adapter or your card's own tab to see the version number/s.
this behaviour will be altered in a future version of dx, also
the first step is to make sure you've downloaded and installed iconpackager from: www.stardock.com/products/iconpackager run iconpackager from start/programs/object desktop or from the control panels. click the button to install new packages, select install from disk, browse to your dl'd package and open it. the 'my computer' icon from the set will appear in the ip window. click it, click load, click apply, ok <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/smile.gif"
