hmmmm.. i can't change the settings without editing the skin's ini file. just going to config and changing, for example, start weeks from monday has no effect. i have to open the ini for the skin and change it there :/
migellito
thanks moshi!
hmm.. all of the skins from skinbase cause problems with the latest version of the calendar. it can't find certain bmps in the dir, but it keeps looking. had to edit the ini file amidst continuously popping warnings, to set it back to one of the included skins.
well.. not exactly.
quite true bill.. one of my cousins is a pilot, and he is quite well off.
how about a britney 'speared' skin.. i've seen the shirt. it was actually a lance though.. man, i -never- use the genie effect on my osx system. it's cool for about 10 minutes.
i think the precise term would be 'insignificant'
the thing advertisers need to realize is that just because they're on a computer doesn't mean you have to 'click' them or interact with them or something. they think that's the bid deal, so they make that the focus. dumb. it has to be a good ad first. my point is, so what if nobody clicks on it. nobody clicks on tv ads either, and they spend billions on those.
that's a t-man question i seem to remember something being on the back burner about that, but don't quote me on it
if the above don't help, here's the classic troubleshoot: set everything you can on your machine to -not- load on startup, including wb. reboot. go to your system tray and exit everything you can. start your task manager, or 'performance' in xp [start/programs/administrative tools.] now load windowblinds. you shouldn't see too much of a jump. now start loading your usual compliment of apps, and look for the hit.
wow boxxi.. that's actually a really cool idea.. hehe
the mark of a truly good skinner unique skins
does your theory involve laurence fishbourne? or greek mythology?
hehe.. sounds like a part i'd be good at david. as far as computer games, i prefer the 3rd person type, like oni or alice. first person shooters just seem kinda dumb to me.. *shrug* i guess it's because it's such an artificial limit on what you can see and do. no offense
green, do you know any good font handler apps for xp? the sort of program that switches groups of fonts in and out for you, to keep the directory small.. or the kind that stores them in a different place and has xp link to them?
it's more the parlance of tman, joe. he'll be on sometime monday, things being as usual. i'm quite tired as i read this, but i think the proper controls are in place. try going to the section in question, such as windowblinds. from there, search for author and sort by date.. i may be confused on this.. i rarely sort this way, and as i said, i'm quite tired
woodbridge, it's not personal to you anyone at your level gets that option. it's there 'in case' they happen to be a developer
i just think it's entertaining that if the title of this thread was up in the title of the site, wc would suddenly get even -more- popular..
paxx.. yep i never run the 3 included xp ones though.. but thanks
metro, are you getting the window frames themselves skinned as well as the taskbar?
not for me.. i'd prefer anything else. i do wish the xp look was available that thin though..
yep, it's a great screenshot. russ tweaked the borg look and improved it even further, but all was lost in a drive crash, and morpheusx is 'sleeping.' that's a greek mythology pun, by the way.. hehe
i've heard xp handles them a bit differently.. haven't experimented with it yet though. perhaps one of the font handler programs?
if you take a stroll through the library, there are several wb skins there with narrow titlebars
