Completely agree with the No modding before game is released... I saw what happened with the Fallen Enchantress beta and Legendary Hero beta. Caused a lot of "there is a problem", when it was just a mod incompatibility.
Imagine a player gets rushed and have his starport destroyed and has no military ship currently out. That is basically Checkmate GG. Unless some of the more basic type of ships could also be built on planets, Say Tiny, small and cargo Hull can be built on both planet and Spaceyard, but bigger hulls only in Space.
I would agree that all planets can build the more basic ships / only makes sense. The starport should be m
Why can't I pan the camera with the mouse?
You can left click and drag to pan the camera. Or do you mean edge scrolling?
I know you are working to overhaul the planet view screen for building purposes. Issues: There are a few issues I have and these have been mentioned before, but I thought I should present them here as well. It is difficult to tell when you can build something or cannot at the moment. It is also difficult to tell when a building is being constructed on the screen vs. already built. I would like some better inclination of where I can build. <stro
I agree, but I don't know if I want to include that with the alpha. :)
At the moment, given the AI the dual que hasn't presented itself at the moment. The game seems fine, but it is not slow because I can rush ships, which I do. In fact, given the amount of rewards and money I have, I only buy ships at the moment. Its too hard to say one way or the other at the moment. I'm thinking Brad is right in saying that wait for the Beta before we rule this out entirely. I for one like the dual que especially when the game gets closer to balanced w

Did he and his armada travel to star to learned secet, I don't think they are rogue, it's sort like a top secect/classified military, rather than a rogue, unless they go rogue by killing major humankind race at least where they should keep humankind safe from alien race?
I think you are correct abou
Well a founder (not available anymore) grants access to the beta and gives the full game when available. It also gives that spiffy founder badge. The founders elite, grants access to the alpha / beta / full game and all expansions and DLC for the game. It also gives that spiffy founder badge and the ability to name a star. These are the things that I can remember. I think there is a special thanks in the credits as well. I'm sure stardock will correct me if I'm wrong.<
Open up the command console... the ` key (above the tab) Then type turnactions It should end the turn....
Not necessarily harder to unlock, but the invasion mechanics need to be put in place. My 2.5billion people should not be taking out 11 billion people ;) This has more to do with that invasions are not set-up correctly, as of yet.
I agree with this general point. Good = Long Term Planned Benefits Evil = Short Term Benefits The ideology does provide this in a sense. I think that there should be bigger bonuses to the ideology for good actions and smaller bonuses for the evil actions. In other words good actions allow you to move up the ideology faster than evil choices.
I love the tool-tips, played FE:LH and it has wonderful tool-tips. Issue: There is one issue with tool-tips is that they cover up parts of the screen. Specifically the mini-map. There are a few buttons on the right to toggle the planets, anomalies, stars, etc. When you hover over this the tool-tip covers the mini-map. I like to use these buttons to turn on and off to get a general idea of the planets by flashing them. Becomes difficult to do this when the tool

Thanks. I think that there should be subtitles on these things as well. If I had a way of video editing, I would put it on the video. Maybe this will be the first time they do such a thing.
You get access to the Beta, and by a tentative schedule , it should be coming this "May/June". https://forums.galciv3.com/452909/page/1/
If it is a feedback bug then the early access feedback forum seems appropriate. https://forums.galciv3.com/forum/1073 If it is I cannot get the game to run or constantly crashing the support forum seems appropriate. https://forums.galciv3.com/forum/1067 but if you post in either of those and its the wrong place. Island Dog is pretty good at moving the post for you.
I agree. For your benefit though [Music is played in background with suspense overtones] Human Speaking: (Camera is zooming in Human and Thalan) "You claim humanity causes the destruction of the galaxy." Thank you. I'm excited to see what will be implemented in the next round of Alpha.
Well just stumbled over the alpha on steam, checked here, and copied the serial from myaccount. Would have been nice to get an e-mail as notification, instead of finding it out through the steam ad-banners...
I got an e-mail notification (maybe it ended up in spam folder) and you are only 1 day late on the download, so happy testing... (would say have fun, but any fun had is unintentional with th
So ya... I just came for the food. I've never played an alpha, but I've watched programs develop and can say this is well on its way. The core of the functionality required for the game seems to be in place. I can move units and those units look pretty moving. Graphically it looks nice and I hope will continue to improve (there are a few artifacts and some flickering I've seen in the gray beyond). The combat seems very rough and I hope to see it more implem
are you sure they formed a fleet automatically? On mine they never do that....
I've had it where they did form a fleet automatically... and then I separated the fleet, but couldn't move the ships individually, but then used the idle ship button to move them separately. I've also had it where I fly ships on top of each other and they do not form a fleet auto-magically. Right now I would call the fleet functi
I do believe some issue do arise with the new banners that are now available for advertising. They suggest you can get early alpha access for $99. To me that suggest that all I'm getting is the game and alpha access. I just saw a pop-up on steam and thought that the game itself was $99 dollars with alpha participation (even though I know better). I think that these banners (if possible) should be switched to say something about becoming an Elite Founder today thro
Any idea how often the alpha will be updated for the player community? Are we talking monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly... or is this it until the beta? Will there be options to not load in certain DLC when it comes out? A management system to turn it off (some but not all), when I want to alter my play experience.
I've downloaded and installed the game, but when I click play it says, "Failed to start game (unknown error)." Anybody else have this problem? I don't know what to do.
First you probably should post your specs of your PC.
