I saw this and thought it was just Baaahd. It looks funny and it seems something that somebody cooked up after too many nights without sleep. But then again what is a game for, to entertain and this one seems like a goal of making you laugh and do silly things. Not my cup of tea, but I'm sure it fits somewhere out there in someones library...
What level were you guys playing on? I was playing normal, and I didn't think the AI was all that hot. It might just have been luck though.
I was playing on normal. There is some element of luck and so far if I was looking from playing both sides, the AI is doing roughly what I would choose to do. There are times they are not, but sometimes their attempt proves extremely profitable for a long-haul game.

But to say an opinion doesn't mean he is trolling. What he said was after purchasing the game following some advice here, he did not like it. One could deduce from this statement that the advice / presentation of the ideas in this thread do not accurately reflect the game play experience he thought he would have. Hence it is a very informative post to others that A. The game is inexpensive. (his follow up comment) B. You should be wary following this advice
- Class-specific units: it would be great to see class-specific items, weapons and armor for each LH class that would be determined by which class your primary leader took.
This can be modded in directly. Thus, this can be a DLC in the future for LH.
- A plethora of mounts: I've already found over half a dozen different mounts, each with its unique look, feel and bonuses. I think LH only has, maybe, 4 different types? I want more. They add to th

I think Tattyhat can definitely say the game was not to their liking. That wasn't trolling in any sense. There are aspects of the game that LH did better and some that I like from AoW. There is also a very nice character when playing LH that I don't feel when I play AoW. But, I like both games as they provide me with different enjoyment from each.
Well, I bought it on the basis of comments made in this post, and..... I don't like it.
Did you not watch the multitude of let's play videos out there. From watching those I found the game play exactly the same as the let's play.

There is no obligation to bug test or play tha alpha. The purchase price is for the game as well as all the expansions and DLC. When the beta arrives another price will be given without the DLC or expansion offer,

The fixed rate, is not a bad idea. There are only so many supply ships that can travel to the shipyard at a time. Thus, I suggest that upgrades to the shipyard, yield higher rates of production. The radius may also increase which implies it can gain bonuses from other planets falling into its domain of influence. This forces strategic placement of the shipyards. Tuning up all production to a planet will still give a bonus to the shipyard as well. Not saying a slider is a bad p
Quoting EvilMaxWar, reply 36 I am all for a better idea but have not found it so far. I tried to think about a way to incorporate this into the production wheel but seriously It seems to be a deadend. The wheel is pretty much hard limited to 3 options. Even if you turn into a square with 4 options. When you think about it for a minute you see that it would not work. <br
Planetary Invasion needs to be more expensive to research, and be after one other tech. Right now rushing PI is an instant victory
Not necessarily. I upgrade a weapon first and defend my planet... your transports don't stand a chance ;) edit: but I do agree there needs to be some balancing aspect here.

The production slider shouldn't play a role. I would suggest that it is a flat percentage of the planets production capability, which is based on the upgrades one has on the actual shipyard itself. I would suggest that transport / colony pods can ONLY be built on a planet. You need to load them up anyway. I would support a late game research from the study of worm-holes to create a warp-gate between two starbases. I think Necessary for very very large maps. I suppo

I'd assume the ingame chat by pressing 't' It brought up a chat bar that wouldn't go away (I would like it to) I typed in a few things and Seilore couldn't see what I wrote there. The steam chat worked, but was very difficult. I do enjoy the multiplayer and I can see the gameflow being slow for this type of game. But pacing is a difficulty for multiplayer (not asking for balance, just a little more speed) I can envision ship battles as being an impo
