qa is always limited. it has no sense to test further after a certain level. the costs then are much higher than the use you get out of testing. btw. you can never say that some program really works because you cant proof that it works. you can just test if it does not. and i really think that they do what they can. they just do it too slow. thats all. and since my lobby just crashed again: have you fixed the issues with the lobby crashing all the time? playgroundlegen

i just lay all my hopes into modding because if theres something that isnt game breaking but what needs to be fixed i dont think that there will be another update for the next few month which addresses these things. i dont hate sd for that because they care about the game but its a fact that the release cycles are long. btw. what does atari do about all that stuff? i mean they are the publisher for the rest of the world, they should put some money into fixes as well. i would like to k
3 hp/sec is nothing! even 5 hp/sec doesnt save you from any trip to the crystal.
it buffs sigil as well.

i think that every ability or attribute thats based on propability is questionable. thats why i truly dont care that dodge is pretty much unimportant in this game.

of course there would be a thread in which the community discusses but the changes would be made by only a few if not just one modder who does the final decisions.
imo regs mines are one of the best things there is against minions

thought you wouldnt like a balance mod.
i would think that someone who has as many games as you would understand the predjudices against players with low #games/win %. i dont know how often i have been talked into a game with a noob and really regret it afterwards. so i think when you explain and are somehow convincing then the people will let you play with them as i have experienced often enough. also if you just want to play why dont you join noob games? most of the times they are over pretty fast and you get 2 ga
indeed i really dont know where the problem is. theres a modding section and i am sure that frogboy is willing to make a thread sticky in which one can maintain a list of mods. this list then will have links to different download locations like sourceforge or a homepage or something.
[quote who="Polynomial" reply="17" id="2437740"] Quoting Derog, reply 16i personally really dont care that much about the new demigods. my hope is the modding support. i hope that there will be ONE balancing mod which continuously will be improved (with continuously i mean like weekly) so that we finally get a game where hp stacking isnt the only viable alternative. I don't want a community made balance mod. Demigod doesn't need it. Modding focus should be content, not balancing.[/q
since the new patch with modding support will be release sometime in the near future (like a few weeks at max i hope) i thought bringing up this thread again aint the worst idea. imo when starting to balance by modding you have to make shure you have one fix point. if you start just nerfing there and buffing there without one fix point you will most certainly end up with another imbalanced gamestate. but perhaps this time the dmg items are overpowered. i like the idea of just

favor items shouldnt cost anything. they should rather be some sort of early customization for tweaking the char into the direction of the build one wants to play. and since there are only a few really useful items, the rest should be balanced before putting new ones into the game.
its rather a question to the developers of the 1.2 patch. what will be possible with mods? item stats can be changed for sure but what about ability stats? which are the restrictions?
there is no universal strategy i guess. rook doesnt have enough mana for building towers all the time. so a dg with area damage will make rook go back to the crystal very quickly. a tb with mana items and that fire ring thing is very good. also he is very slow. if the team doesnt help him you just have to attack him with two dgs at once and he is a free kill because he cant run away quick enough. imo the best thing against a rook is another rook also at least one teamm
its just unimportant if a client/server model is superior to p2p because it most certainly wont be changed.
when they asked to deactivate skirmish we had the chance to say: no! not skirmish! its pantheon that should be deactivated. i guess now its too late.
i dunno how i missed sorians thread! pls make it sticky in the bug forum!
what often happens when i host a game is that the lobby crashes. the game doesnt react anymore. i can only start the taskmanger and kill the process. and when i tell my dg to move somewhere he should just move there and not try to attack someone on his way, even if he is being attacked. often enough i have been killed because my dg turned around facing its chaser. thats really annoying. because of that i have to click like crazy so the dg doesnt turn start doing anything stupid.
my biggest problem is that i dont know which problems are being adressed in the next patch. i can see in a post in the problem section which are known but which are they trying to solve? especially i would like to know about the status of the lobby crash bug, what will happen with the stats and if the queen will get some buffs.
dont think about how it will work. it will work. period. and @mies: why do you think would they fix the stats after MONTH of not fixing or pseudo fixing them?
