Well, farid nafar, if icons under 100 shouldn't get a metal, than windowblinds without toolbars and animations shouldn't get a metal. Mine has 96 icons. I shouldn't get a metal because I need 4 more icons?

2 words. Corporate takeover. Even though stardock has been around for more than 10 years, if they went public, how long do you think some big company would buy them out. It's better to stay private, so they can reap the benifits.
I''m not sure if this is possible or of interest, but when people click on a persons name and they get the profile- in the left hand corner it says "click to view authors skins". If that could be broken down into different sections. I''ll chose Adni18 as an example. If I click on his link (on 56k) it takes about an 1 1/2 hours for the page to load, he has so many. If I had a link just for the windowblinds, etc...that would be much easier. Just a suggestion.<img src="http://
I understand your feelings on the subject. But you have to remember, the judges are the one's who're giving away the cash and prizes. It doesn't matter if they pick a skin just because they like the neat colors. It's their chose. If anyone complains about the chose, then (you) should sponser the next one, so you'll have a voice.;) ( That sounded negative, not meant to be).
After the Olympics is over. I plan on delving back into the program. I think it can be as good as DesktopX. Let's see what kind of skins I can come up with.
If you look at the teams list, almost half the entries are from the first 5 teams. I'm a (little) disappointed, seeing as, how many teams still have nothing up. I thought, this would be the biggest thing since cheese.:) There's only so much some of us can do.;)
Well, I guess, I'm part of the 1%. I frequently use the top and side taskbar. It's more functional of how I work. The only time I use the bottom taskbar is for taking a screenshot of it.
When I first came to this site, I thought it was like Christmas and my Birthday all rolled up in one. There were skins everywhere and I went crazy looking at all of them. Now, it's kind of like having a slice of bread every hour for years. It's the same site. Nothing has changed except me. My question is, Do we have to skin everything? Of course not but if we don't, people think the skin is incomplete. Now even, if it doesn't come with a compact startmenu, they won't even look twice at it. Times are changing but that doesn't say we have to. Skin what you want and leave it at that. The whole idea is to keep it fun, right? On the issue of windowblinds having a large number.
Will the past suites be re-moderated (the ones who don't have permission) or will they be moderated from this day on?

CJD, if there was a way to get rid of the logoff and shutdown words, and if you had a really short name, you could have a startmenu that's only 1" wide. Also, I'm working on a way to make the startmenu for the bottom (righthand) side. And before you say it can't be done, I've done it. Just have to work out a few kinks. It's close thought. I think people are just waiting in the wings. If you'll notice, there are at least 30 teams with (0) zeros still. If each team has atleast 2 people in it, thats 60 skins. That's not counting the people who will contribute that aren't part of a team. Then, there are the people who will wait till the last minute. So, I don't see a problem. First off, If you (haven't) got the most recent update, then this thread will be moot. I updated last night and I noticed that when you change from one skin to another, that it will morph to the next skin. Atleast, it does for me. I thought it was a neat effect. It seems, they're bringing a little of DesktopX over to windowblinds. Or that's what it feels like. Most of the time, unless I look, I haven't a clue what was updated. But this was a noticable effect. <b

I think a big factor is time. The skins frogboy show, have probably, 30 to 40 images. Most are only one color. Now skins have more than 160 images, not including animations. Back in the day, someone could ask for a skin in the morning, and by lunch, someone would say "here ya go". Now, it could take (for a good skin) 2 to 3 weeks or more.
