[quote/] PS: Thank you, Vanechka, for capitalizing Pyrrhic . I'm Danish and couldn't remember how the term is spelled in English (I'm a bit rusty). So, at the risk of seeming less smart if it was a genuine compliment (the smily leaves a bit of ambiguity), I must admit I that I looked it up on Wikipedia and Dictionary.com, where it's capitalized. Though I must admit that I couldn't figure out if it was for emphasis only. Is it normally capitalized? I'm curious. And finally, have you c

You should always kill the cap ship late game. They are still very expensive to replace, as much as 6 heavy cruisers for the TEC (a force more than a match for a cap ship). What makes them annoying is that someone will get a skill like "drain planet" and be a douche with it. There is nothing more sinister than colonizing someone's highly fortified asteroid in a matter of 40 secs.

From historical knowlege, I see no need for an all-consuming empire race; That's us. What bothers me is that the humans are so culturally advanced. They follow the Star Trek no-wars-in-forever-because-we've-progressed-past-that paradigmn. Disgusting. Being a member of a chaotic race, I like to play the chaotic race. It bothers me that I cannot experience that from the familiar point of view. Make humans expansionistic next time!! I'm sick of this idealistic humans are goodly e

If you have the firepower, always take out a cap ship. They are big and hard to kill, but they are more expensive than they are worth from a purely tactical standpoint. Their abilities make them worth using... sometimes. If you take out a cap ship, it costs more than it was worth to replace. A HC is just one of the many.

If you didn't steal the game, you should contact support. That's a serious issue, especially because the online game is really fun.

Wait, does the game not end if everyone allies? I thought that was the case? I just kept killing people because I wanted their planets all to myself. Oh well.

Here's a cool suggestion: what about a race that isn't humanoid? Super-intellegent plants that control dumb mammalian creatures through pheromones? Not bad. I agree. I want to see more creativity in the races. I love the advent. The vasari remind me of the Drengin, and every game needs a super evil empire race (which should be humans before it is an alien race in my opinion). So that's ok.

The problem with sending in a Dunov is that it is slow and your opponent will focus fire on it. EMP charge can be effective, but make sure there are not too many heavy cruisers, or you will lose your expensive capital ship.

They don't do much unless the opponent completely turns off the repair and goes straight for reducing your units' effectiveness (I've only seen this done with the Vasari sabotage.). The best counter is to kill them. They are weak and do not repair fast enough.

Part of what made the command and conquer stories so good was that they were more of a cheesy b movie / story mode. If Ironclad can make a blizzard-esque or a Westwood Studios type story or if they can come up with something new and equally thrilling, then I want to see it. Otherwise, I want them to add enjoyable content instead. I would rather be disappointed with no story than disgusted with a bad one.

[quote]What I would like to see (even in the current version of the game) would be a revamp of the current system of acquiring ships. I do not think all capital ships should be available immediately and cruisers and even some frigates require research. In order to make this balanced, Ironclad had to significantly cripple the capital ships so they wouldn't overwhelm everything. But isn't that kind of the point of building a massive battleship? They kind of underwhelmed me when I built them...they

I had no idea Flaks could take out LRMs so effectively. That should be listed as a strength. Finally, a way to stop the LRM blobs, which seemed to be cheap, annoying, and unstoppable. Plus, I am a fan of light frigates, and LRMs made my awesome light frigate armadas completely useless. Although, after reading this thread, I am just glad that I do not like strikecraft as much. Hit-and-run would be great if I could impact their resourcing operations, but that requires planet-killers to be done rig
