I like the evacuator. It would have been cooler had they made the city structure visible (eg. buildings) through a transparent cover, but I'll go for a whale.

All the demi-gods look alike in the screenshots. 2 Q's: a) What is a demi-god? b) Are they visually or functionally customizable?
Wow, I can see how this game has room for expansions. What about a fighter demi-god instead of an assasin. What about a support demigod, or a demi-god that controls different kinds of units. The possibilities are staggering.
not to mention that you have to build your own lrms to defend yourself, and that takes crystal. the next military research costs you a lot of crystal. and the research for carriers is a ton of crystal. and THEN the carriers themselves are a ton of crystal. so basically, the early game is one big lrm fest, and its stupid. lrms should counter the support cruisers. you can build them earlier to seige a planet's defenses, but that should be their sole role until something can counter them
The problem is that they are cheaper than cobalts and they kill cobalts 1 on 1. Why would I keep building cobalts when my long range weapon is cheaper and better? The unit you research second should not fill the role of making the fist unit obsolete, unless the second unit comes with a counter that can be researched simultaneously. For example, if I could build a missle scambler to go along with the huge fleet of light frigates that i otherwise have to scuttle, then it would be ok. as it is, you
Why is it that LRMs counter my agile light frigates? That irritates me. In fact, light frigates should be good at taking out LRMS. LRMs should pick off support units. I hate that light frigates are made practically useless because they are a direct fighting unit countered by an even cheaper "direct fighting" unit.
i am going to point out that i made the assumption that your 5% upgrade gave you 5% of a new ship. In reality, you would need to upgrade 5% armor + 5% shields + 5%firepower to get what i said. The point is that more ships is better. If you have more money than you know what to do with, buy a new military research. LRMS are totally wack. They should counter SUPPORT ships. having them counter light frigates spoils my day. that makes the game a race to the research finish.
Wow, lame. We are going to end up with a super ship. Everyone seems to want it. *shakes fist* I hope there is a super ship defense that can be built for like 4/5 super ship price...
Ah, thanks Astax. I now see the financial benfit to building those. I thought they were seige weapons.
yeah, but it will also melt under huge numbers of frigates...
If you spend 400 credits for a shield upgrade that increases shields by %5, then you are effectively buying %5 more ships than what you already have built. This means that if you buy cheap 600 credit light frigates early game, you need 14 light frigates to make a 5% buff worth it. 1) 600 credits * .05% = 30 credits 2) 30 credits * 14 = 420 credits Hence, you gain 20 credits for your research. Make sure you build at least 20 ships befo
How does a broadcast center affect credits in any way?
But it needs to be inversely proportional to an exponential function. You mean logarithmic???
Wow, you just got roasted.
Don't sacrifice building ships. Here's what you need to do: Scuttle that cap ship factory, and use to proceeds to buy enough crystal to upgrade your homeworld to the next pop cap (if possible). Otherwise: Do not research the next fleet capacity until you have at least a fully thriving homeworld and a fully thriving asteroid.
Maybe instead of a pirate planet, there could be a wormhole to the delta quadrant... a sphere would come out and attack the player with the best stats.
There was more than one battlestar. Build a Kol battleship.
Why not make the borg the pirates?
what about the traders from asimov's foundations series? they were the most technologically and militarily advanced people in the galaxy....
I would be a real warrior, except that chem mid terms have me studying, and this is the only distraction that I can bear. Damn you acid-base equilibria. Who cares about the partial disassociation of slightly soluble ionic compounds? *shakes fist*
Allright whatever. Just let me see the replays... douches. For to win one hundred victories in one hundred battles is not the acme of skill. To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill. -- Sun Tzu, The Art Of War
Well, George Bush does a great job of "feigning" incapacity.
[WANG] are really good players. They just are not nice guys. I hope people see the irony.
omg. Someone said Major Stress's problem was that he found a girlfriend? It would be mean if it weren't already so funny. By the way, Trekkies have girlfriends. Sometimes other Trekkies. Sometimes not. And people like that can get pretty kinky. Klingon love anyone?
Why do people keep requesting less factions? Major stress wants to make some major stress and create them all. Let him. It will be better.
If my seige units can encounter starbases, I hope I get starbase destroyers to accompany them. No supercapitals please. these just make the game about whoever can build one first. Or, at least make it possible to destroy one without having one yourself.
