Hot-seat would be great. Access to other maps, to enable an underground, dungeon, or different plane, etc.. Some global/influence area type spells would be fun, tie them to shards to give shards a little more weight. Some flying units eventually. Weapon enchantment too.

I can't imagine, come launch day, downloading a game that has no surprises in it. What the hell FUN would that be. There is no way in hell that the current character graphics make the final cut, most don't have mouths fcol.
<p

It won't get you back to the testosterone tones of the Conan soundtrack, but they'll definitely encourage an Elemental frame of mind. I'd also suggest love spirals downwards and most cowboy junkies songs/covers of songs.
The Junkies did a show in our town last winter, they did an awesome job!

I don't like this idea.
Fair enough, I was suggesting some exp. if your Champion or Sov. maxed out at 1 and 2 points a turn it would still work out to many hundreds of turns before you gained any significant amount of levels. You would have to be sta

A thought along the lines of city building issues would be to have 'districts'. General district: (free) You found your empire and get an area equivalent of 4(large) tiles in which you may build any structure. no bonus' When you are building on the last (large) tile your advisor suggests you direct your towns growth by creating another district for the populace to focus on. You could create anot

I like the idea of champions and your sovereign gaining some exp. while they are in town. If your champion is stationed in town and using his bonus let him earn 1/4 or 1/3 exp point per turn. Have some of the buildings built give an increase to the above rate. Maybe the adventurers guild adds another 1/4 point, the school could add a bit more for research types, a farm or grain silo for farmer types.. . After all they are your representative(s) and supposedly earning

The Agent names seem a bit more empirish. Personally I like Imbue Agent first, then Empower. Having the same prefix 'Imbue' common in both kingdom and empire makes a certain amount of sense. I guess I was thinking that both Empire and Kingdoms would have 'Champions' and that the imbuing of them would be the same on either side. It is the same use of magic and doesn't require any balancing if it functions similarly for both sides. Adjunct

I liked the Empire version of imbue, 'create spell-caster' It is very generous though and increasing its cost to 3 essence might be a reasonable cost for it. The mechanic of empowering to 1/2 of the casters INT was nice and would make Magical Champions of weaker Casting Sov's weaker but not overly so, as compared to similar Champions of more magically powerful Sovereigns. On another note, 'create spell-caster' just sounds a little too ordinary.

I fought the terrorized village and my champion leveled. The level up screen appeared immediately after the last death animation. The cursor was the movement cursor from the fight not the feather. I would have provided a screenshot, but I am apparently unable to figure out an easy way to do that. If anyone can point in the right direction regarding screens I would be much obliged!

Im not too much into nerfing them. I think if the damage range is corrected so they dont always do max, and some sort of damage resistances are put in, it should work out. Bows should be feared. Check out 'agincourt' Cromwell has a decent book on that battle. Maybe plate would be even resist, chain would get a bonus, and leather a penalty vs bows. I sort of wish they would have polearms, ie stuff designed to tear into heavy armor, sorry th

Both of these happened while moving around the map. I had some units deserting as I messed up my economy a little. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8942084/Elemental0_92-2010-07-20T09-32-17-510.zip http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8942084/Elemental0_92-2010-07-20T10-05-00-22.zip

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8942084/kingdom.EleSav In this save game I experimented early with pioneers to claim resources in the influence area. I had noticed that some resources didn't show in the build box right away when the influence area absorbed them, since I had the tech I sent some pioneers to claim them. The buildings all got constructed, some I did notice the effect. for instance th
