So is AIDS and syphilis.
And they are diseases. Pregnancy is not. View them as consequences of casual sexual activity.
I don't equate a medical procedure with a protest march.
I don't equate abortion with a medical procedure, I equate it with cold blooded murder. Abortion is murder.
Are you serious?!? If a woman chooses to terminate her pregnancy, yes there is a medical need for it and certainly within a reasonable time frame. Abortion is LEGAL! It's not a freaking manicure. So I will assume that your stance is that every pregnant prisoner MUST carry their pregnancy to ter
If I might chime in here: When people reply, "Its against my religion" I think that are saying that they want to abide by their faith's precepts. Most religions have precept ceremonies in one form or another. When we take these precepts, it means we are making them our own and promising not to violate them. So, in effect, its a shorthand answer. Be well.
Yes, it is well to obey your religion's laws, but you should have a hatred of sin, not just a good excuse
ACk! I think my head just exploded. Reproductive rights are not a privilege. I am so glad that we have an organization like the ACLU to defend our constiutional rights. “Prison walls do not form a barrier separating prison inmates from the protections of the Constitution.” – Judge A. Leon Higginbotham, Monmouth County Correctional Institute Inmates v. Lanzaro (1987) 2
So there's a constitutional right to kill your own child? How scary.<
Now you deserve to lose all your rights?
Not all, it was an accident. That's why you don't get a jail sentence for getting in an accident unless it's bad. It's more intent, not comission. You don't ever deserve to lose all of your rights, you just lose some of your priveleges.
You do know, though, that in order to abstain you actually have to have an opportunity presented to you, right?
So, what do you mean by that?
Contraceptiv
Joe Arpaio is not the kind of man who shirks controversy. He's "America's Toughest Sheriff", in his own words. Now, I don't have the exact place where they attack Joe Arpaio, but I find that denying abortions to prisoners should be common practice, not a rights violation. Here's the thing: You forfeit your rights when you commit a crime. You don't deserve to keep all of them, you gave them up. Not only is abortion amoral, but it is also an expense to the government. If you can pay for
On the GHWiki, we've been getting a lot of spam recently. So, here's a little note to spammers: We don't care about Guild War Gold's meaningful nature. Quite frankly, a wiki is not a blogging site. If you wanna talk about the Olympiad Panda Bears, do it on a blog site, not on a sci-fi wiki. While the articles you write may not be too terrible, and may be worthy of being published in some very extreme cases, it's a site with a goal of detailing a video game, not your personal poetry or
Belief in a "God" is what makes one be a theist/atheist, and if you believe in a god, you are not an atheist.
One reminder: Sugar has no nutritional value, don't worry about throwing it out.
Hardly a moral consequence.
Yes, but it's included in laws so the Israelites don't have to learn everything the hard way.
Ah, yes, but there's a difference between opening with rock bands and meeting with leaders.
And Mccain hasnt reached out to them? please.
Yes, McCain does diplomacy. Obama does overseas campaigning.
Yep, see, one of the points of Kosher law. The Israelites did not have cooking directions.
I'm always right. As in, conservative. Get it? Right, conservative? There's a sense of logic in the names.
I recommend Bob. It's a classic. Robert sounds nice, and you can just shorten it to Bob later.
Haven't I said something like this, except without it being a slander campaign? Your title and your subject are two different things. Sen. McCain's merit should be discussed, not Obama's lack thereof.
He programmed them to make those choices with their free will.
Tell me at least one way this doesn't work. See, it's been theorized that though time flows one dimensionally for us, God has multiple dimensions of time, allowing Him to see it and interact with it, but be seperate from it.
Thank you, Jythier.
So we should only follow the laws of our religion when we can see the full consequences of our actions?
No, we should consider potential consequences of those actions, so we can know why to avoid said actions.
For how long?
Do you really have to ask?
If I can plot out what happens for the next 50 year after following god's rule of letting those who work on Sunday live is against his will should I then follow it?
W
I'm planning on watching him cry on Nov. 2nd.
Why not? Religion gives us guidelines for moral behaviour. Why is it not a good reason to follow a certain system of morality?
Follow, yes, but you should avoid it with a knowledge that it's wrong, not merely preached as "wrong".
Why? And what does it have to do with "like"? I _like_ ham (I have nothing against it). But if it is against my religion, I don't eat it. Religion doesn't tell me not to like ham. It just tells me not to eat it. You can eat it, I d
The obama is the anti-christ (or anything close to it) is paranoia.
I don't think so. He's just the popular kid on the block. And when has the popular kid been the best in class? Rarely.
What I don't understand is why god is not to blame for everything satan did as when he made him he knew what he would do and made him in such as way so that he would do those things. Not could but would or are you saying that god didn't really know what was going to happen when he made the angels etc?
Again, I plead free will principle. They decided that they were better than their master, and so rebelled.
I've heard the "It's against my religion" excuse so many times. It's not a good reason. I'm gonna put a Christian slant on it, but this is probably universally true. If the reason you don't like something is because "it's against my religion", you need to reevaluate your life. Sure there are things that your religion may prevent you from doing, but, to tell you the truth, you should find them objectionable, or wrong, rather than just "against my religion". You should follow the rules, but if
