No point in arguing just dilutes what is really important. I think most people are interested in your ideas but would just like you to be careful how you word them because obviously some people either didn't understand what you really meant or have in mind and keep on topic please. If people really care about what you think on obesity and obsessive gaming then create a post somewhere else about it but not on Demigod now lets stop stupid arguments over nothing and move on.

Haha, I like your optimism but I still don't understand what is fundimentally wrong. Who wouldn't want a good multiplayer system? That is the whole point of this discussion what does a good system mean to you?
Orlean you are insulting people and you wonder why people aren't liking your posts. You infer that all people who play competitively have no lives and continually bash the Dota community and then say no wonder they are bad because they got players from the CounterStrike community. Dude comon, you don't necessarily have bad ideas but a lot of what you are saying isn't a solution. I don't have a problem with people hiding their stats but your "tiers" are just the same thing as
Not necessarily talking about multiplayer success in terms of how the actual match up are exectued but in new content. I know there are going to be more Demigods but I just wish there could be some kind of user content creation. Also C.C is right Battle.net is a pretty good example of longetivity and how to execute. Warcraft 3 has lasted a long time so there has got to be a better example of the point you are trying to make. Anyways what do you guys think about a map e
Who isn't all for even matchmaking? I don't understand the problem, I mean win/loss is the simplest way to pick out which players are better when comparing to others. This helps make games more even and thus more fun. I wrote this essay with compelling evidence on how competitive play works: Here Here is an excerpt I particularely like: "*Snore*" Anyways blam
I agree with TheBigOne, Orlean that is one of the most condescending things I have heard someone say on a forum. I am glad you think you are morally better than us because you "play on your lunch break" and have wrote an entire essay about it but games are competitive get used to it. Get up off your moral high horse and step down to the real world.
I created this post because on the other posts a lot of people have been talking about this so I figured this could be a centralized area where you guys can put your ideas about what can be done to make sure Demigod has these things. As for my own ideas on this I would say that in terms of longetivity, there should be a map editor so that users can make custom maps with interesting objectives. In terms of depth I suggest last hitting of creeps for gold and the ability to deny own
Alright I completely agree with a lot of what is being said in this thread about addind depth to Demigod. I think in terms of UI Jinx is totally right and the will be what we see in Beta 2 it has to be intuitive. The most frustrating thing in a game is the lack of control of your character, period. Just having an easy to manuever interface is like 50% of a game. Second in terms of making casual gamers equal to regular gamers that sounds insane, of course if you play mo
I agree with Jinx on this one. Please play Dota before you start bashing it. Saying heroes are the same just is a fallacy, there are ceratin roles but that is the point. They all have unique spells. Anyways when Demigod came out I was extremely excited because I figured it would be like Dota but better because it would be new and would have the freedom of a new game engine and professionals working on it but I was sadly disappointed. I do understand this is the f

Guys if you haven't already found this out you can sort of pan a little bit if you hold down mouse 3 and move the mouse or you can use the arrow kets but in general you are right it is pretty hard to move back and forth. Also it would be sweet if the camera could be rotated but again this is beta 1 so gameplay suggestions aren't what they are looking for. Just know that you can move a little right and left with holding mouse three or the arrow keys.
