My own theory is that the Forces of Light have both Regulus and Rook, the two best fortress killers. Not a big deal on its own in Conquest, but when Pantheon gets a fetish for Fortress mode, it can tilt the balance.

From my perspective, when I read a response like that, it can be difficult tell the theorycrafters from the story tellers. However, posts like "it's too early to judge balance" are a particular giveaway that a person is spewing nonsense.
Pantheon does not always record properly. It's missed out on over half my wins -- worse, it gave some of them to me as losses!
The new patch made things better for some people but completely broke things for others :(.
Moral of the story: never license code without having source access!

Pardon the hubris, but lately I've seen a lot of inanely retarded posts regarding balance. Let's set some things straight. First we need to start with the very definition of "balance":
bal⋅ance <!-- var interfaceflash = new LEXICOFlashObject ( "http://cache.lexico.com/d/g/speaker.swf", "speaker", "17", "15", "<a href="\" mce_href="/newpost/forum/\""http://dictionary.reference.com/a
Queen of Thorns by far. She's a one trick pony and only useful with large teams.

I'll state this again: On a map like Crucible, there is no way to go around the towers, so you have to deal with them. Unless you are Regulus, there is no effective way to kill the towers. On pantheon, you will never have to kill the towers as Regulus! TB doesn't count, since he has to walk into the gauntlet to freeze all of the towers. If he gets boulder rolled, he's screwed.
Someone said it best in another thread: Uproot takes too many points for a skill that gets less useful as the game progresses. It should be cut down to 3 points if nothing else.
The only problem with Rook is that there is no viable way to kill them unless you are Regulus...but if you are Regulus, you will never have to kill towers in the pantheon mode [e digicons]:|[/e] . Tower spam is pretty weak on the large maps but way too strong on something like Crucible. Over all it's fine, but the curve needs to be flattened.
If you bought the game in the States, you can still return the game to Stardock directly if it's for technical reasons (ie game doesn't work).
I don't know what world you live in, but the Rolly Pollies are awesome.
To add: I know Tyo from the Forged Alliance balancing, and he most certainly does not change something just because of popular opinion. GPG takes feedback into account to shape the feel of the game, but they never make balance changes just because a bunch of people say it should be done. In Forged Alliance they made it clear that it was their game, their balance, and that any complaints should be directed to them and not to other players.
Yes, arranged teams will be added with clan support.
If a new demigod could started at 10000 hp and did 4000 damage per second at level 1, people like Extracide would still be grasping at straws when others pointed out the obvious gameplay implications. I'm tired of this myth that everything needs months and months of gameplay testing to decide if it's too strong or if it's too weak. Some things are just plain obvious, and balance shouldn't be a static thing. Adjust for the now, and if player adaptation reveals new problems, change it again.</p
Clans are nice and all, but really the lack of being able to form a premade team should come first.
They're coming at the same time. The clan framework contains the functionality for arranged teams. Frogboy has already stated this.
Careful, otherwise you might conclude that Crucible is the third most loved map.
ok.
Hello no, and you'd think otherwise too if you played Sedna or QoT just once.

Replays work, but they're a little glitchy. The most obvious is that no sound plays (or so I've heard). They didn't want to ship them halfway broken.
