I'm curious to hear from someone at Stardock if there are plans to release Entrenchment for retail purchase. I'm uncomfortable about downloading the expansion because I don't have a very big hard-drive (my computer is kind of old) and also, if for some reason Stardock closes down or is sold, I might not be able to download it again. Even if it's bundled with the original Sins, I'd buy it again. I love Sins [e digicons]:)[/e]
This is a dumb place to discuss politics, by the way. Games like this are supposed to be an escape from reality....or as close as you can get to reality when discussing politics, which isn't very close at all. Come to think of it maybe this IS the perfect place to discuss politics, as games and politics both seem to be based on attention grabbing fictions. Carry on.
I totally agree. But I tire qui
Yay! I was quoted for hilarious purposes! Some people take this whole expansion pack thing way too seriously. It's clear the only real reason some of these people are pissed off is that they feel pressured into buying expansion packs just so they can continue to play the game online with other up to date players. OH NOES! [e digicons]X([/e] If a game that you really like later has an expansion released, why not buy it? If you enjoyed the game, why not see it as a way
Geez if it's $10 an expansion pack, they can make 5 or 6 and I'd gladly buy them. Sins is my new favorite game. I got it as a gift, but I would have bought it the second I realized it was a Stardock game. I'm really looking forward to the new expansions. I check Impulse and the website everyday to see when the expansions will be available and then curse and scream and bite people's ears when I see that they aren't yet released. What gaming companies don't realize is that as long as they continue to pound on PC gamers, those same people are going to be fighting back, either legally through lawsuits, or illegally, through hacked copies of games offered for free on the internet. Consumers feel like they are being punished, so they retaliate. Many developers have this idea stuck in their heads that they will lose millions because of piracy. Spore is nearing the two million mark on units sold. At fifty bucks a
Personally I'm very pleased with number one. If my computer meets or exceeds the minimum requirements as stated on the box, I expect that the game will work on my system. If it doesn't, I want a refund. The current return policy for opened computer software is analogous to going to a restaurant, buying a meal and then discovering you are allergic to one of the ingredients. If you didn't know, and the chef didn't know, it's really nobody's fault. But at the same time no one in the
