I bought the original game at a bestbuy when it first came out & then bought entrenchnent online which entitled me to be able to redownload at anytime. It's just been so long , I lost the original disc & can't remember how to find where to get the download from. I'm quite sure I can remember my login & paswords if I can simply find where I need to go.

I haven't played in a long time , but would love to get back to this great game. I however can't remember how to go about downloading my backups form the server. Could someone please provide me with a link?

The best I've seen is Civ 4. I don't play a lot of different games but from what I do play it makes by far the best use of a quad. It seems to spread the load out almost prefectly evenly among the 4 cores & it runs amazingly well on my new comp compared to my old system which was new and top end when the game was released.

I have a quadcore & sins does seem to run on only 1 core most of the time.

I'd like to take a moment here & thank everyone for their ongoing efforts in making sure the game Sins & this communtiy is of the finest to be found. I know I've done my share of complaining but I don't think I've been totaly unreasonable.

Has anyone found an easy way to update both installs? I'd hate to have to take the long way around again. I tried to simply rename the install folders but it still ran entrenchment through Impulse & I've already updated that.

Update I have done nothing to change my net config in the last 3 days but for some reason today I can finally log into ICO after nearly 2 weeks which IMO proves my theory that the problem was on the server end. I'm glad my problem seems to be resolved at least for the time being.

My comp is directly hooked to to my modem/router via ethernet. My kids both have a wireless connection for their's. I've reset the modem & my ethernet adapter, turned off ALL protection apps to test & even had a line test done.

I do use a router/modem combo, but I've shut down its internal firewall & forwarded all ports used by Sins & ICO.

I know some of my posts sound a bit like complaining. I'm just getting a little frustrated. I also would like to find the root of this problem so that we can all put this right. I simply don't know much about these things just as most people who buy a game & just want to play it without having to make technical adjustments to their network.

As far as I can tell, nothing has changed within my system & it seems highly unlikely that so many people also suddenly have then same remote problem. Something has apparently changed on the server side & I certainly hope it gets worked out asap. I don't see why I need to be an IT pro to play a game online. This is really getting old in a very fast way.

My comp is the same as the one posted & I have the same issues. I however use a dual monitor & run a system monitor in sidebar. It never drops ram below 30% free. That's over a gig of ram not being used even at the end of a 100+ planet map.
