Autumnmist, there is an extension called IE Tab Link that lets you view pages with IE in a tab within firefox. Perhaps you can use this as a solution until FF rendering of the site speeds up.

There seems to be at least three of us in Utah, the place that John Stuart Mill called "the remote corner of the earth".
It's working with Access, and Onfolio--you guys are amazing.
It seems to me that you could just use a program to make your windows not quite maximized, so that they still take up the full screen, but with the effects that you want. I'm not sure if WinFX can do this, but it doesn't work with WB5 yet anyway. Maybe someone has a program suggestion. I use ZMover Link that can do this, but I really use it for different reasons, and it would require you to set it up for
Cool. It looks like I'll be trying Onfolio again.
I'm having similar issues with the latest WB beta. Everything works well, and all of the tray icons are usually there, but sometimes there are icons missing. Keyboard launchpad, right-click, TaskSwitchXP Pro, ZMover, and OD Plus are sometimes effected (at least I have noticed those to be gone). The programs are still loaded and in working order, but the tray icons are not there. It does seem random on my machine as well.
I have the problem too. It also seems to effect the Rustyrooster WB skin, and I think Arrow as well.
You need to install systats, which is available here: Link . Follow the directions included in the download--remembering to restart object dock to refresh the list of docklets. Then follow the directions you've included above.
I also have intermitent problems with "per application" settings. Every once in a while, WB will start to skin the SystemSuite firewall pop-up. The skin will quickly go away, but it has already crashed the firewall (or at least it freezes with the dialog up, I can't click anything). It's hard to recreate because it happens so infrequently. I do have all SystemSuite related files on the "per application" exclusion list.
If there isn't an option to do it globally (that has never worked right on my machine), you can just open Skinstudio and change one of the mouse actions to make window transparent. I like to have right-click be roll-up, and double-click transparent. I really see no reason to have to add a button.
No problems with Outlook 2003 here either. Must be specific to Outlook XP.
Right-click on desktop, select properties, then select appearance. Select the advanced tab, and untick the "show user icon in startbar". Hit close, and then OK, and you should be in business.
It's such a great productivity feature-especially when combined with the "stay on top" feature. I'm also partial to OD+, DX, WinFX, right-click, keyboard launchpad, and cursor xp.
I finally got it to work. I'm just using the Silica MP3 player now. Previously, it just did nothing when I tried to get it to play a file. I set it to work with object media, then returned in to WMP, and now it does work. Thanks for your help.
I can't seem to get DX objects/widgets to control WMP 10. Is this a known issue, or is there something wrong with my setup?
Just open windowblinds, and look under the settings heading, choose 'per application', and exclude Yahoo Messenger from being skinned.
No, my fault for not being specific. I actually want to have an object that is an Access form. I use it sort of like post-it notes (accept I need more structure).
I have a Access database that I use to store arguments that are related to my dissertation project. I would really like to be able to embed the database in a DesktopX object, but can't seem to pull it off. I just want to have a thin transparent border around the database itself (for a total size of 530X375) since I have no use for any of the menus, and WB 5 doesn't really handle Access well (or WinFX for that matter). Any tips, tricks, or directions wi
Perhaps its because Google would like us all to install their sidebar instead. Just a thought.
Try iconx, it can animate any icon package in the way that you are describing.
Very nice. I'm really looking forward to this and future subscriber skins.
Oh yeah, or you can use the MSN toolbar.
You have to either wait for IE 7 to come out, or you can download the Avant Browser (which uses IE) which supports tabs now.
