I hope progress hasn't ceased. I'd love to see this merged in with 7 Deadly Sins eventually.
Same.

A question from a guy whos never seen anything Stargate (except the 80's movie). The humans are the Tau'ri. (Got this from this thread.) We would never, ever, call ourselves something that stupid, unless we suddenly had the urge to completely change the name of species, as well as going stupider than we are now. So.... Are humans actually obeying the whims of alien species by using that name? That just makes me go WTF? if we are. I mean, humans are some of the most arrog
For Freespace, fighters couldn't jump beyond the solar system they were in due to limitations of the subspace drive. Fighter-sized drives require a gravity well to "slingshot" them into subspace. So while fighters could go on interplanetary patrols, they couldn't go from Gamma Draconis into Capella, say. However, Special Operations Command fighters are sometimes equipped with very special, very expensive subspace drives that allow them to go beyond a solar system via jump nodes. Those drives
While the UNSC didnt have true AI, they did have smart and dumb AI's. Smart AI's could think and do as they please with out much limitation, but they werent sentient and only had enough capacity for around 7 years of use at which point they would go rampant because they literally thunk themselves to death. Dumb AI's could make free choices and the same rapid fire calculations but they we're narrow with usually only one or two main functions.
Not true at all. All AI are s
I've seen all the way to episode 10 of season 4, so I know they've made up. Still though, Earth being a radioactive ball of waste is kinda disappointing. Besides, Earth wasn't almost eradicated and is tired of fighting because of it. Who knows, Earth is somewhere else and we need a fight with the Cylons to keep us from nuking that planet.
I personally want us (Earth) to show those Cylon mother-frakkers what-for with our seriously pimped weapons tech. (Plasma cannons, shields, lasers, very big railguns, antimatter bombs, exoskeleton infantry nastier than Centurions) Now all we need to do is figure some huge plot device that lets us show up and launch a massive attack on the Cylons. By massive, I mean it makes the attack on the 12 Colonies look like a minor bar brawl in terms of destruction.
I have to agree with Maico. This skill is useless.
I saw the tech demo also, But from what I heard is that the game Nexus 2 was cancelled due to a shakeup in the ranks.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
They do. Nexus BASIC ship classes are frigates, destroyers, cruisers, battleships, and then the Colossus support ship. Take those basic classes, and expand. Tactical frigates, scout frigates, minelayer frigates. Tactical destroyers, assault destroyers (a destroyer hull with no tactical weapons, just energy shells and railguns), missile destroyers. Assault cruisers, light carriers, missile cruisers. Assault battleships, shield breaking battles
Rather than the Green and Red orbs for the planets themselves, maybe we could figure out a way to make it so that they are Green or Red when zoomed out, as opposed to the multiple colors in normal Sins. And maybe yellow for contested zones, like in FS2.
In a word: SWEET.
Yeah so we can actually go Ready, Aim, Fire!!!
Hey DANMAN,Skyline_HUN, get your asses over here and say yes already.
The Atlantians in my version are much older than the Ancients.
If the Atlantians are older than the Ancients, doesn't that make the Ancients not ancient?
twin stars - two stars orbiting eachother closely, no statistical difference from regular stars, just for visual effect
Maybe double the solar radiation bonus.
You forgot destroyers. How about the Sparta and that other one that was piloted by Cromwell's buddy? (Sorry, its been a long time away from Nexus.) There was the scout destroyer you had in the campaign plus the tactical one piloted by your friend. Plus online there were missile destroyers also. Anyways, if you can somehow get a Nexus mod working and playable in Sins, I'll definitely download it. Did I mention I'd play it too?
Well, same here.
Awesome. I will actually play this map. Even though I've never played Twilight Imperium (in fact I had never heard of it before seeing this post), the map you are designing looks pretty sweet. And, no, I won't try and learn how to play it. Don't bother asking.
dunno if nexus would lend itself enough to sins, nexus detail was all in its ship customisation.... not its ship types
I, for one, always wanted to be the guy calling the shots, building the fleets up, then giving them their orders and watching them slice through the enemy. I want to be safe back in HQ, not on the bridge of that cruiser about to go up in flames. And for that there would need to be some liberties taken with ships. For example, there could be
Hey, I have no problem with waiting if it means I can play Freespace 2 in Sins.
Second, this mod isn't going to be 100% canon. A bit(and when I say bit I mean alot) of creativity will have to fill in the holes that the need for balance and the lack of information are going to create. Every bit of creativity will most likely not please all. I don't like the idea of UNSC ships having shields from the very beginning either, but the idea of having a very high tier ability that grants a little damage reduction and or shield points for a short time, I do like. The UNSC sho
Wedge Antilles and ultra-powerful strikecraft! A squad of X-wings can down 4 squads of TIE's, and then eat their supporting Carrack for dessert.
They do have shield tech. Master Chief and his shields anyone? All you need to do with those is scale it up. A lot.
I think that it has to do with the new ability you added in for constructors Blackseraph, "Classification: Module Constructor". Whenever I try to build a structure, that is used instead of Construction, which is what is supposed to be used, but you got rid of it.
Actually, Covenant hulls are actually fairly tough. Covenant use Forerunner technology, so most likely they also use Forerunner metallurgical technology as well.
Yes. Having turrets would definitely be awesome.
