To damage the enemy fleet at a separate planet requires either: 1. To specifically target a vessel you have to have vision of what's in the grav well, either by remote sensors, cloaked scouts, or the Advent's Eyes of the Converted ability. 2. You can use an indiscriminate weapon that causes heavy damage to all ships in the grav well. I like the heavy defensive platform idea. Vasari have phase rockets, Advent have plasma cannons, TEC have a really big rail gu

Oh. Warcraft 3? That would be like making a Sins TD almost. Except a Tower Defense might work somehow in Sins oddly enough.

Simple. Our fleet is under attack. That's more important than our allies. After all, we can't aid them if our fleet is destroyed. Besides, its our fleet. Without it, we can't defend ourselves. Oh and our allies suck at defending themselves, so we need to stop being allies. What, no joke about power overwhelming?

Yeah. Veritechs are 3 story tall mechs of win. I'd love to see my Veritechs blow those Zentraedi scum to bits. SDF-1, giant robots/fighter planes. Robotech. Anyways, we all know one thing about giant robots. Chicks dig them.

Well, he's right. There is no Imperator class, as far as I know. Everywhere it is the Imperial class of Star Destroyers. And by everywhere I mean every Star Wars Expanded Universe novel I have ever read, which is about 90% of all of them, so I have a crap load of space in my brain taken up by this stuff that could be used for something useful like anything else besides science fiction minutiae. Trust me. It's the Imperial class.

Anyone know where Lost lives so we can get a lynch mob over there to "ensure" this mod gets done? I think he needs just a tad bit of motivation.

Uh. Cortana would kick the asses of the devs with about 1 tenth of 1 percent of her processor power, and do that while hacking the Department of Defense because of the boredom.

Has anyone played Hegemonia: Legions of Iron? Planet populations are frequently over 2 BILLION. However, to successfully make a planet revolt without a spy, you frequently have to kill everyone on the planet. So by the time a game is finished, you have killed billions of people. 10 Planets = 20 billion civilians by your orders. You basically make Hitler look like Gandhi. Oh, watching the population of the enemy planet go from a thriving metropolis to a completely dead world is actu

Have we forgotten something? Don't the UNSC themselves say that their A.I. are sentient? The basis of sentience is knowing one's self exists, and ALL UNSC A.I. know that. They have free will, even though in many cases is it inhibited by programming restrictions put in place by us because we're worried about something going wrong. While Cortana is prevented from betraying the UNSC, she can still do a lot of things, and one of the biggest things compelling her to help John is SHE WANTS TO, not

Well, thanks for the counter-rant. Its very informative and reminds me of my complete ignorance of the Stargate universe. If I am playing this mod, which I will be, I will need to know more and to that end I will attempt to watch as much Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis as I can before this comes out. I hope my mind does not break from all of it. I didn't watch it at first because I thought it was a crappy Sci-Fi B-series. However, BSG changed my opinion of the Sci-Fi channel for the better. And

Yeah sorry about the ranting. I have a tendency to do that, even when I'm not angry. And not knowing things can make me angry. Like why we call ourselves the Tau'ri. However, calling ourselves the Tau'ri so people can know they pissed off humanity and won't live long to regret it is an excellent reason. Really. It is. Tends to reduce the number of would-be enemies, which is good because less people are trying to kill us.

Causing Armageddon is fun. Being able to sit back away from the mushroom clouds and laugh at the deaths of millions by your hand: Priceless.
