To damage the enemy fleet at a separate planet requires either: 1. To specifically target a vessel you have to have vision of what's in the grav well, either by remote sensors, cloaked scouts, or the Advent's Eyes of the Converted ability. 2. Pulsars have a lot of solar radiation. More than Neutron Stars. I think a Pulsar is a rapidly spinning neutron star that emits radiation from its poles due to the magnetic fields constantly overlapping and interfering. Pulsars are nasty. You could have a lot of antimatter regen from one but also slow hull damage to compensate.

Well, he's right. There is no Imperator class, as far as I know. Everywhere it is the Imperial class of Star Destroyers. And by everywhere I mean every Star Wars Expanded Universe novel I have ever read, which is about 90% of all of them, so I have a crap load of space in my brain taken up by this stuff that could be used for something useful like anything else besides science fiction minutiae. Trust me. It's the Imperial class.

Has anyone played Hegemonia: Legions of Iron? Planet populations are frequently over 2 BILLION. However, to successfully make a planet revolt without a spy, you frequently have to kill everyone on the planet. Well, thanks for the counter-rant. Its very informative and reminds me of my complete ignorance of the Stargate universe. If I am playing this mod, which I will be, I will need to know more and to that end I will attempt to watch as much Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis as I can before this comes out. I hope my mind does not break from all of it. I didn't watch it at first because I thought it was a crappy Sci-Fi B-series. However, BSG changed my opinion of the Sci-Fi channel for the better. And
Yeah sorry about the ranting. I have a tendency to do that, even when I'm not angry. And not knowing things can make me angry. Like why we call ourselves the Tau'ri. However, calling ourselves the Tau'ri so people can know they pissed off humanity and won't live long to regret it is an excellent reason. Really. It is. Tends to reduce the number of would-be enemies, which is good because less people are trying to kill us.
