DON'T CHANGE SIZE! 1/2 cooldown 1/2 damage DON'T CHANGE WAVES! DON'T CHANGE AM! it does half the damage, costs the same AM,has the same window of time to disable, and you can use it "faster" but it still costs the same AM... Are there any disagreements to this??? (please, i'd like to know, and keep it civilised ppl!)
That wouldn't address the the one thing about MB that makes it "overpowered" compared to

I would love to try that out if I can find someone to make an advent battleball to fire it into. I think the replay could be a motivational youtube hit.
I tell you what. I will build and post a tiny mod that changes the MB to work in that manner. I will also build and post other change vers

Fair enough. I just didn't recall anyone comparing it to Cleansing Brilliance until I posted the run down of other big name abilities. I honestly think Cleansing Brilliance holds the answer to all the aspects of Missile Barrage that you've commented on in your last post. Changing it to a column doesn't mean that it necessarily has to be as narrow (and thus as difficult to hit a good number of targets with) as Cleansing Brilliance. It also makes you have to "aim" the

Honestly, if you're absolutely sure that your string file is correct, I'd say you have a type in the file name or the path (folders). Otherwise, I'd look for an error near the start of the string file. Like a blank line near the start or something like that. -dolynick
I can't believe people are trying to compare cleansing brilliance to MB, with a straight face no less. Do these people actually believe what they say, or are they saying it just to imagine the look on your face? I won't state why the comparison is ridiculous - it's absurd on the face of it.
We weren't comparing it to Cleansing Brilliance as a defense of Missile Barrage. The exact opposite actually. Maybe you didn't read the posts closely enough. Clea
Also, i have a modding question for you. Can you make a capital ship that you could buy upgrades for like a starbase. I guess the more important question is can u make a SB enter phase jump. At that point you could just make a ship mesh for the SB and still have it made by a cruiser. Just a thought for a supercap.
My understading is that the best you can do is allow travel within a gravity well for a star base. You cannot have a star base capable of phase jumps.</
The reseach gives the aguard high population cap combined with culture makes them have very hightax income. you conbine this with SB upgrades and trade ports and you have a very pwerful economy. Aditionally the aguard have research for more logistic points, so even dead asteroids can have a trade port allowing for longer chains. Late game even with high fleet upkeep they have an impressive income rate. I can easily see how a player could afford 2
Hmm... I've noticed this issue... with a fleet or mass amount of ships. Ship spacing sorta stinks... actually reeks. It's kinda a pain to see my ships playing bumper cars all over the place as they try to align to jump or even within the gravity well of a planet and when they are fighting enemy ships. Also I noticed that when you zoom out on the ships the textures seem to be okay, but when you zoom in for close up the textures become all wack
Dolynick has made the best point here. The fact is mazra has no limitation on its power compared to other abilities.
Actually, it should be "no effective limitation that successfully keeps it in check". It has one but it doesn't limit nearly as much as any ability that remotely matches it's potential. But thanks ;) It would be easily brought into some sort of semblance of balance by either outright limiting it's targets or changing the
Yes the Ragnarok is insane. A single Decimate fleet attack can wipe out a fleet of Wraith Heavy cruisers. An easy way of balancing it would be to cut the abilitie's range a little, if only to give the enemy fleet a chance to run or spread out . Not that it would matter because the Ragnorock is fast enough to chase a fleet down.
I may have to revisit that ability. I wanted it to be able to inflict massive damage onto a fleet as beffitting it's name and ideally thin

But that's the key right there isn't it? Take a look at all the other "powerful" abilities currently in game. 1) Shield Regeneration. Replenishes shields. Powerful because it is quite good at keeping nearby advent ships from exploding. Why is that powerful? Because all the credits/metal/crystal and time you spent building the rest of your fleet becomes more effective and can deal more damage than it would without (since they might be dying). O

Carbon already answered your questions but I'll give it a go as well. I'm not a graphic artist so I don't know the the intricacies and specific technical details so much but I can give you a run through of how I go about things in Photoshop. The cl and da textures are both single layers in Photoshop (PS from here on out). They must be a single layer in order to save as a dds using the NVidia plugins. They are, however, RGB format so they do contain R, G and B channel

Your ships are showing up in game as completely team colored. This is happening either because the alpha channel in your -cl.dds is either filled in completely white or it is missing (and being filled in/seen as completely white at some point in the process). I am unfamiliar with using Paint Shop Pro these days so I can't really tell you exactly what you need to do. I have found that I must put at least one non-black pixel in the -cl.dds (not necessarily something that eve

Actually, it would be some sort of identity fraud and become a criminal matter. I'm sure the bank has insurance that covers that sort of thing and they don't pay it out of their own pocket, if they replace the funds at all. You didn't refute anything, you just changed the topic. You asked where Stardock made statements to the effect that they didn't use or support DRM.
Your "inferred logic" is also one big assumption, which will be proved false on April 7th.
