Try closing the game out and launching it again and see if you're able to log in. If not, try deleting the games.prefs file in (My) Documents\My Games\Gas Powered Games\Demigod and then launch the game again and try logging in. Let me know if this helps.

dwm also exists in Vista and allowed for things like DeskScapes to be developed. dwm isn't like the Gnome or KDE environments on *nix OSes, which are probably more compatible to the explorer shell in Windows. However, if you're looking for a highly customizable UI, you might give DesktopX desktops a look see.

Hmm, odd that it's running all the time. Perhaps something else running at startup is calling it up? If you're only using ObjectDock, you can disable it by deleting the file in C:\Program Files\Common Files

davehump: I'm not really sure what you want here. If you don't want to troubleshoot why the game wont run for you then you can contact [email protected] and ask for a refund. It seems like you're more than willing to come on these forums and invest all the time to complain, when it would have only taken a fraction of that time to send out an e-mail with the log file. Just complaining about your issues and not working to solve them isn't going to get you far on these forums.

sdmcp.exe allows access to certain system resources to some of the ODNT applications. Specifically things like the system tray of tasks. Although I believe SDC installs it, it is also installed by things like DesktopX, ObjectBar, and apps with similar functionality. You can disable it through msconfig like any other startup item.

Try running regedit and navigating to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\exefile\shellex\IconHandler On the right side of the screen, if it has a value of {611AD258-4138-4348-A534-9856FA6BA398} you need to rename that registry key from 'IconHandler' to something else (IconHandlerX works). Then reboot your PC and the Icons should come back.

Hmm. Do the included Watercolor, water, and Desktop earth dreams work for you as well? Or is it just the cube? If all of these work, it may be a codec issue, as these are all dynamic dreams, not pre-rendered video. If this is the absolute only dream file that will run, it sounds like a bad install and a verify through Impulse would be my next suggestion.

Dreams not working after coming back from a sleep state is a known issue and unfortunately one that is quite dificult to fix (or so I have been told). This mainly has to do with the loose standardization of what the different sleep states on PCs actually mean. The best advice I can give is to check the site for your PC manufacturer for any BIOS updates that may be available that update power save mode issues.

To try and resolve this issue, try verifying the application through Impulse. This should fix up the .dream file if it is corrupted/missing/whatever. If you need to, you may download Impulse here: http://www.impulsedriven.com/impulse_setup_full.exe . Once Impulse is installed it will give you the option to create a Stardock.net account if you haven't already. If you already have an account, but forgot the password, Impulse also will give you the option to retrieve your
Yea you see the problem is i dont have any idea how to do that.
I'm not sure what part is tripping you up. Are you not familiar with directory naming in Windows? Are you not sure how to attach a file to an e-mail? We'd be more than happy to assist you get the game working, but can't really help much, especially if we all quit to go work at Wal-Mart. Whenever you see that red X rendered it means that Impulse was unable to load the image assets needed to render the UI. Try running the file below: http://sd.stardock.com/mike/apps/stardock_access.bat As it appears you're on Windows Vista, make sure to right click and run as admin when running this file.

Unfortunately, the functionality to download and install old versions of ODNT apps is not yet in Impulse. Until then, if you need archives for older versions from before your sub expired e-mail [email protected] and we can get you a link. Keep in mind that we offer this as a courtesy, and you should really be making your own archives of the ODNT applications for reinstall (or you could renew and get the latest updates [e digicons][/e] )

Your friend would have to log in on your machine to restore the archive. Also keep in mind that archives made form installed applications will be specific to that OS.
