Forums are great for all kinds of technical help, but when it comes to accounts and what not, e-mailing support or sales is the way to go. Usually all it takes is a quick merge.
What I meant is: supposing my router treats packets as it should, then opening the right ports would work, wouldn't it? And that wouldn't even require a NAT facilitator...
If your router is working as it should, opening the ports wouldn't even be required. The issue arises when the router can't/won't handle the numerous socket connections between you and the other players. Unfortunately, routers don't usually come with an option to adjust this number. <

We've been having a lot of reports recently from users of Avira security software experiencing extremely slow downloads. A recent update to their web shield apparently is causing the problem. Disabling this portion of the security suite brings downloads back to normal rates.
So when friends come over to “Future House” and see the bee hives and the apple orchard and the gardens (my wife won’t let me have chickens unfortunately) along with the “Kook” supplies (i.e. the capability to defend our physical assets effectively) hopefully we’ll all have the benefit of just laughing at how weird I’m getting. Hopefully I’ll always be just a kook as opposed to a survivor.
Now the bees make sense. T
In my opinion, a router is suppose to last forever or atleast 10 years.
That's quite a range. 10 - Infinite years.
Port forwarding will unfortunately not help with this case. It's not so much a open/closed ports issue, but a can't handle multiple simultaneous socket connections issue. Just because it's older than 2.5 years doesn't guarantee that it won't work, but the chances go up after that threshold.
