DeskScapes should show up in the dropdown for changing wallpapers like in SoulTrain75's screenie. If you don't see this, probably best to uninstall/reinstall (or verify through Impulse) DrJBHL: what is the file manager you're using there?

.dreams do not work in thew same way .wba or .ip files do where they are "installed" to the default locations. Double clicking on a dream to apply will apply it from where it is on the disk. To try and resolve this issue, try verifying the application through Impulse. To verify the application through Impulse: -Launch Impulse. Right click on the entry for the application and choose "Verify application" -Impulse will check the integrity of the insta
I do not believe that DeskScapes is Windows XP x64 compatible.
If you previously had the trial version of DeskScapes installed you will want to remove it first. Installing the full version over the trial will not overwrite all the files from the trial version. You must uninstall the trial (or any full versions installed over the trial) and reboot the machine before installing the full version. You will first want to go to Start->Start Search and type services.msc. Once there, be sure the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager se
I believe most of TheMasterBaron's dreams are MPEG-2, so you would need an MPEG-2 codec to play them. A good way to test is to try an play an MPEG-2 encoded video (most DVDs) through Windows Media Player and see if it works.
DeskScapes will at most display on 2 monitors (the primary and first secondary). This was done for performance reasons. Even then, specific dreams have to support the dual monitor setup for them to work correctly (specifically dynamic dreams).
If you're using the version of DeskScapes for Vista Ultimate users, you will not be able to upgrade through Impulse (unless you purchase DeskScapes). The DeskScapes version for Vista Ultimate simply adds support for the .dream file format to the Windows DreamScene Ultimate Extra that is available to Vista Ultimate users. This was more or less done as a courtesy to these users so they wouldn't have to purchase an application that duplicates something they already have. Howeve
Yeah, pretty much 99% of laptops don't have a seperate upgradable video chipset inside. For the most part it's all one board on the inside, and to upgrade you'd have to replace the whole thing (at which point you may as well buy a new laptop).
Any time you're having issues with serial numbers or accounts, etc. it's best to just e-mail support, as the information we'll need is simply not the kind of thing you want to be posting in public forums.
Are you doing this with DirectSkin? If so, I believe you have the option to contact [email protected] for help with creating skins.
Any kind of security applications that could be installed that could interfere with ObjectDock? Also, did you install any 3rd party docklets?
Ahh, I see what you're referring to now. I tried the same here and all my Object Desktop apps show under the category filter. Perhaps try resetting the Impulse data, as I believe this is what the filters are using. From within Impulse: -Click the Impulse Logo in the upper left -Choose 'Preferences...' -Click the 'Reset Data' button -Close impulse and relaunch it. You may notice a long update time, which is normal as it is rebuilding the deleted in
Yes, sorry to say, but AGP 4x cards simply don't have the throughput needed for DeskScapes, and will not work.
Are you talking about the Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Extra or DeskScapes? DeskScapes should support dual monitors (no more than 2 though) but I'm not sure about DreamScene.
On our esupport page ( https://esupport.stardock.com ) there are fixes for this issue for both 32 and 64 bit under the 'Downloads' section. Please post if they resolve your issues.
Weird that it's trying to extract the same file twice. Have you tried installing through Impulse?
IconPackager hasn't been updated for Windows 7 yet, so you still will probably see some weirdness until updates are released. So far in my own experience it works OK, although I do run into the shortcut overlay issue (I believe last time my shortcut overlay was actually getting set to the 'Documents' icon, which looked hilarious). If you're worried about issues, I'd say it's best to leave it alone for now.
If you download an icon package file, double clicking on it should install it to IconPackager and place the icons in the correct location.
Is it asking for this for activation or when you try to create bootskins? You will be required to provide this information to upload and create bootskins. If it's presenting an activation dialog, try right clicking on the apps entry in Impulse and selecting "re-activate".
Also, make sure you are not running ObjectDock as Admin on Windows Vista (that is, right clicking and selecting "Run as administrator" or setting this flag in the apps properties). We've seen some weirdness when you do this, including dragging issues (although usually shows up when trying to drag items into the dock.)
Can you post your system specs? Specifically OS and Service Pack, CPU, Graphics card info and driver release date.
You should be able to apply the Windows XP MCE theme through the actual Windows theme settings. Whenever WindowBlinds is using the classic/XP/Aero theme, it is simply unloading itself and letting Windows once again handle the theming. So, if you're seeing nothing but classic, try setting the theme through Windows. Remember this relies on the Themes service, which must be enabled and set to automatically start.
The WC Browser took a hit with the site maintenance that was done to WC recently. Should be working better now.
Need to know what app you're using. Sounds like it's WindowBlinds, but could be MyColors too...
How did you set up the filters? Filters will be getting an update in upcoming versions of Impulse, so there may be some known issues floating around.
