Humm very odd, the only place I can see it used normaly in the game is in PlanetCripple but I can't find anything that uses that ability, does anything? The other two parts of that ability work fine (build speeds) but even at 100% it dosn't change a thing to a planets production. I even tried it on a metal extractor and it didn't change the rate lol. I guess its 'bugged'.

Heh, Battle of Endor Syndrome is annoying back in Freespace 2. I could never full fill my desire for massive fleet battles in the game (all my ideas for MODs where to large scale). Here on the other hand its not only possible, its the point of the game! yay :D
How big a diffrence did you set it?
hay i downloaded the Forge Tools and the Particle Forge and non of them work other then the Galaxy Forge i running on vista so can this be the problem what should i do, a little help.
Is there an error message??
What I really miss is the modding options for storylines. I love the experince a stroyline can deliver (thats why I play so many games). The one thing RTSs generaly can't do well though is provide a storyline during gameplay - its always 'FMV' (back in the days of C&C) or in game cinematics. Now its voice over pretty much exclusively (like SupCom). There the larger scale games don't really need a storyline because your actions create the storyline which is why depth is such an important
You would imagine all thier text files are generated somehow (things like the usual 0.000000 number format give it away, lol). I would imagine they HAVE a data source for all the .entitys but it might not be a 'Forge' tool (it could easily be just a database). I only like those kind of programs to spot errors before they get in game, like stuff which can't have a value in some situations or enforcing types and what parameters they are allowed but thats a lot of work for little
Does the Particle Forge tool not have a setting to emulate velocity or am I just not seeing it in my sleep deprived state? I was trying to optimize an exhaust effect but it's a little hard to see what it looks like w/o the missile moving. P.S. Thanks for the new tool to play with.
Speed.Linear - Min Speed.Linear - Max I think you mean? Its near the bottom of the emiter I think, in particle.
Thanks Aractain, i tried some and they looked cool, but im still puzzled how to add those boxes and colors (im new with textures and particles stuff) I would appreciate a manual or something Stardock, like the galaxy forge one
Super quick overview: Right clicking rotates view, mouse wheel zooms view. The important things to set up are "Settings", "Global Properties", "Emiters" and "Affectors". Settings/Global is the overall settings, self exp

Good stuff!
I think that many of the items on your wishlist are slated for the first expansion pack.In other words, rather then taking care of the above laundry list of issues that SHOULD have been addressed either before launch or in the patches followng release, you're going to force your customers to BUY the expansion to fix your game? I wasn't aware Id need to spend more money for you to take care of the product that you should have fixed long ago since release. Thanks for the warning, I will spen
I really love the game, the camera interface is excellent. However there are a few things which I feel are missing when playing. Generally when I come across a Really Good Game™ I want all the cool features I've seen in other games to play with. I'm sure lots of stuff has been gone over before but I'm just gonna rant about everything I think is actually important here so I can stop thinking about it lol. Fleets! I can name planets and ships, whic
I agree, it feels like such a feature is missing when planning things out, with no information to gather.
