Archers can miss thier target, I thought they homed at first until I really looked but they are just really accurate at moving targets. If the target moves in a different direction after the arrows are in the air they miss. Oda's death is halrious, they need to give him some more troops or something.

Generally it is not that they do not like ponies, but that they are unwilling to admit they like them. It also helps that it is not common on this site, so it will stand out.
I like ponys, especially sparkly ones... Also agree with what
Im thinking of all those people that wont buy from Steam and chose Impulse instead...

How does the coop actually work? I've been having a hard time finding good details on it for some reason.
Well... Two player campaign. Can be compeative or coop (wasn't avalible in empire) i.e alliance works with objectives for victory this time. Spectate

The industry needs quality competition to improve this aspect. Its the only way to change it. So who is going to buy DNF? I mean the only reason I could come up with is because it has some kind of females present? I generally like females. Seriously though (no really, I like females) does anyone think the game will be more fun that just loading up Doom again? Actually Quake since Doom has a dumb ass control system
Soooo.... they would all be better? Cool.
Free is always going to have "grinds" and always ways to remove the grind for pay. Funny thing is, if you pay a sub? You STILL get the grind... Wuts up wit dat?
This game sounded about as exciting as Supream Commander 2 with little childs toy knights and castles (cough TA: Kingdoms 2 cough).
Is it that they are older design features? For me I want to know what NEW things they added to the game (graphics is not enough). Haveing what BF2 had is minimum requirments. Same situation with Planetside Next (BF2 and PS were the big competitors for the 'wargame' genre back then). If they just remake Planetside/BF2 its just the 'same' game and we have already been there and done that.
Impulse? Its almost an automatic no given the history right? Anyway I love the way BF3 is "Hai guis! Member BF2ZzZZ? Well BF3 will HAVE THE SAME FEATURES AS BF2 OMGOMGOMGOMG!!11!".
Once im in the game and comitted (because I like playing it) im much more likely to actualy pay for stuff (since I know its not a bad investment that I wont get any use out of). Things like 'required consumables' are an instant off switch to me. Ultimately Im much more comfortable with a business model that says "Buy stuff because you like it" rather than "Buy stuff because you need to or you can say goodbye to your friends sukka!". I guess its just the mark of a good business to do i
Heres how I can see F2P working for an action game where skill matters (like planetside). First, NEVER touch areas such as damage, accuracy and rate of fire, health etc. Things like reload speed or magazine capacity are fine since they are 'edge cases' and don't define 'balance' (TBH saying "Its okay if his gun kills faster because yours can hold more" is not good design). There is a huge amount of presence for stuff you could add to planetside for this reason. The basics include resk
Very fun game but yeah needs lots of bugfixes to go with your icesteamshieldbeamrockshower.
Red Alert 3 was really fun in coop. For me co-op is about coordinating with a partner and reducing the complexity of something by concentrating on a smaller number of variables - thats fun for me. Just dosn't seem to be anyone that makes RTS or strat in general that is coop. We prefer stories of some kind also rather than just skirmish maps.

I think it'll be another nine years yet before something interesting comes out. couldnt agree with you more!! Though im hoping/praying/sacrificing-cute-animals (JK) that planetside 2 is good, i loved the first one!
If smedly is involved then all the cute animals and girls in the WORLD wont save Plan
Girlfriends for Wiki Leaks
Sounds like a pretty nice site... Also CivVille should burn in the tears of a thousand dead gods!
I doubt they would change anything for thier customers sake. Thier servers probably cost too much and reasearch showed that it didn't help in the slightest or something. They just need a friendly publisher who is just like them to come along and show them they arn't the only dirty, kinky publisher in the world. That works for humans at least...
Dosn't it suck when not many people enjoy what you enjoy so you constantly get ignored when it comes to game design. Disapointment is so familiar to me. Civ5, Elemental, the general lack of good deep coop games. Also Steam Sale is awesome. That is all.
I played World of Warcraft for a year. The base game was terrific, but the first expansion pack ruined it utterly. I haven't looked back since, and frankly I advise people to stay away.
This is what we call a "Vanila forever" attitude. That game was terrible. Now its all fun quests and story and jokes. Then some progression at the end (either PVP or PVE or whatever if you like that sort of ting).
Read the quests, lol.
Quoting marlowwe, reply 96 Quoting Nesrie, reply 94 It is NOT a truism. You have no clue what other gamers think, what traits they have, nothing. You don't get to decide what is true and what is false simply because you say so. You cannot possibly have anything backing up your statement about a universal trait about gamers. You think you have some sort of "in" and you do not. I don't need to carefully read you
I see what you did there....
I think you are one of those win/lose players then. I lose games all the time and still enjoy them. I don't have to win a game to like a game. Hell I might not even become good at a game but still play it. It's about fun, not winning and losing for some of us. There is nothing poorly designed about a game that people enjoy whether they lose or win. I think you completely missed point on this one.
This whole thread is f
