Okay.....here are two different versions of the Sparrow. Let me know what you think. It should make it look more like a fighter. Plus the Manticore mythology indicates that it was a creature of massive destruction. The Tick can be deadly for wildlife as well....so I like it. Chose Valkyrie because it was a name of a ship class for the Hydran's. Plus they were the choosers of the dead warriors in Norse mythology. Liked Vulture for the Paravian's, for it is a Carrion bird. Condor and Roc are of course names for Romulan ships. So that ruled them out. And the Gorn have all nice dinosaurs names.
Yea the Tick sounds good to me. Was having a hard time thinking of a name for it as well. So I think we should go with Tick. As for the Sparrow....back to the drawing board. Oh and I can not get rid of the neck with out getting rid of the body component that all other parts are attached to. So..........guess I can try to hide the neck some how.

Ok, I have reworked the 1st Dreadnought with the intent that it be the Battleship. And here it is. [IMG]http://img295.imageshack.us/img295/4221/gc2tahydran1218335124zb0.jpg[/IMG] After that, I read a little out of the old SFB rule book and picked up on how the Monarch Battleship was just a stretched, thickened and widened Paladin. So I then built this version.
Alright. Here is my 2nd shot at the Hydran Dreadnought. I like this one for it does closely match the drawings of the ship. I was thinking of tweaking the first attempt of the Dreadnought and make it the Battleship. Guess the snapshot does not show it well. but it is there on top of the tear drop nose. And under the hook fin. It is the Hex shaped cockpit with the big windows on the 4 basic sides. Plus the indicator line runs parallel with the cockpit. Thus hiding it a bit. Do you think it should be a bit larger?

Here are some of the Paravian ships that I have been working on. From what I have been able to read about then. They are part reptile and part bird. Thus the ships reflect that. The support ships are going to look ungainly because they are working ships. Going to try and make all the Warships look sleek, fast and Reptilian Bird like. So here we go. I can believe that Ronin: About it being an easy project. There were a couple of times that when I painted and modeled figures for WH40k that the one that impressed a lot of people. Was the one that took little time and effort to work on. I did not think it was my best. But others did....and I feel the same way about your work. It is great and you inspire me to try harder at it.
