Ok....Here are the Kzinti ships that I have built so far. The Caravan Class is all your support ships in one hull. That would be the Colony, Mining, Troop Transport, Constructor, and Trader ships. Hey Ronin...? When do you think that the Klingon pack will clear the checks and I can get my sweaty grubby paws on it? ;) Kinda have been like that little puppy that needs to go out. Pacing all over the place.
I think that the trick is to play the Races at least once. Then I believe the AI will use ships that you have used in the game. I am assuming that they are in some file for the AI to look at. That is what has happened with me. But I do see some of the other ships used as well. So the AI kinda picks and choses it would seem. And to answer your other question. Yes I custom made them into the game. Not sure if I can list other mods here. But there are some nice custom Character Face mods
Wanted to show Ronin's Fed ships in action. After getting the Klingon's, Romulan's, Borg, and Korx to make peace. The Korx decided that I was not to be trusted and declared war on me. Here is my 1st Carrier group in action. The ships are Challenger (CV), Tasmania (Republic), Borodino and Gettysburg (Gettysburg), One A-20 Avenger, and Six F-18 Hornet II's. They took on a Korx Battleship that was after the troop transports.
Well.....had to tell this to you guys. It is so funny and kinda interesting. Below is the map of my Federation game. Starting with the lower left in pink. Is the Lapsadia ( a Rabbit race I made). The Red Brown is the Klingon Empire. Grey is the Korx. Dark Brown is the Gorn Alliance. The Yellow runing up and down in the middle is the Federation (me). The Faded Green at the top is the Korath. Orange is the Drath. The Romulan Empire is the Dark Green . Kizinti is the yellow on the righ

Ronin......Okay, If you want to use the Z-1 Zoran as a Romulan fighter. Go ahead. I will see about making another fighter to go with it. Also, I had and idea of a Gorn Constructor ship. It would look a lot like the Brontosaurus-Stegosaurus in its setup. Could even do a Miner Ship version from it too. What other Gorn ships would you like to see?
SWEET! Ronin.....now that you are done with the Klignon update. What race are you going to work on next? Thought that maybe, might make a few ships or fighters for you to look over.
I vote for the D-16 as the starting Klingon Flagship.
Well....I guess being a retired Air Force guy helps a little. Was a creative kid. Loved to make drawings of spaceships. planes, ships and other things. As a teen, loved to build models. The spent a lifetime of playing boardgames, Miniatures, and computer games. Of Star Trek, Battlestar, and various military games. Guess the rest of it is just in the blood.

Ronin I have been thinking and wanted to ask you what your thoughts were. According to the old SFB game. The Romulan's only had two fighter types. If you use the Z-1 for a Romulan. Do you want only one more made for them. Plus, the Gorn never built fighters. But just bought some of the larger ones from the Fed's. Should I go and try to make some home grown ones?
Sure! Use it as a Romulan fighter if you like. Snicker....I kinda had that thought too. After I built it.

Okay....here it goes. Made three Klingon fighter-bomber units. Not all that easy to build. Trying to keep the Klingon flavor. With out making them look like D-7 mini me's. Hope you guys like and Ronin is interested in using them. The first one is the Z-1 Zoran. It was suppost to be the first Starfighter the Klingon's built. And fits the Fighter-Bomber role.
