Their new air blowing ability is extremely useful. One thing is that now, when they are spychecking, if a demoman is trying to blow up a sentry they can just blow the mines/nades away easier than any other class.

I would love to see a multiplayer environment, just for playing with friends, but it would be a TON of work. * You would need a dedicated server application or let them host a game from the client. * You would have to add in: Chat, Some kind of new viable trading, Server Side checking to prevent cheating (ideally), Concurrent moves (I think the AI moves AFTER you do, I'm not sure), Save/Load support on the server and letting the client join, transmitting the maps to the cli
How long did it take you to get into the mythos beta, because I signed up a while back and i haven't got in yet? (sorry if this is a bit of topic)
I got in in about an hour by visiting their IRC channel. There was also an unofficial forum where they were handing out invites. They probably still do it on IRC. I'm pretty sure I have some invites on my account that I can send you, if you want.

There is only known picture to illustrate the US political election system: [link="http://i29.tinypic.com/1zx6ttt.jpg"]http://i29.tinypic.com/1zx6ttt.jpg[/link] (Pokemon: You've Encountered A Wild McCain) I'm a bit disappointed there isn't a demo but at $20, and with Stardock's reputation, it can't be bad.

I am experimenting with other colors in other posts even as we type... my eyes have a very difficult time with the white on black, but apparently the Dev people see it black on white, or green on white in my case. Hopefully I will find one that is mutually pleasing so we can all be reading instead of squinting... T
I like the dark blue. If you have an LCD you should m

The GeForce Ti 4600 is 6 year old crap ... buy something else. If you have a PCI-E slot you can find the Nvidia 8600 are about $60 after rebate. If you have an AGP slot there are still MANY video cards that are better for cheaper. To describe how shitty that video card is, I would have to say that new intel onboard video cards can run circles around it.

Here's my list of things that make me not pirate: 1) Multiplayer or Content Restriction. If I like the single player I'll usually buy it to play it online. 2) A good demo. The GC and SOASE time restricted demos didn't cut it for me. I was left feeling like "This sucks so far but I didn't really have time to give it a chance". Demos that only have restricted content work better. GC and SOASE could have benefited from race restrictions, custom race restrictions, map restrictions, or
I hate getting things for free and I hate having a central place to check the information for said things as well. The creators of those free things should all go to hell for wanting to easily keep track of who downloads their mods, and the current released versions.
Glad we agree. Let's go back to the 80s and troll on a popular BBS together.

I like fast paced multiplayer-only FPS. UT2004 was good before the community died due to cheaters and boredom. I played this competitively for a LONG time. UT3 is also dead (competitively). Savage 2 is another game where the community is mostly dead. Usually only 1 or 2 servers going and everyone in game thinks it is great fun to stack. There are more completely stacked games (all pros vs all noobs) than there are remotely fun games. If you like being an asshole, stack
Once you get to 4x influence, planet flipping is a random event. Each turn, the planet has a small probability of flipping - I've personally held a planet at 80x influence for most of a game year before it flipped.
If a planet is past the 4x mark but hasn't flipped yet is there anyway to speed up the process or give you better odds? Is the probability increased as their influence drops or yours rises?
Carrier ships with fighter/bomber squads come to mindAmen! And ships carrying marines for boarding other ships.Bring back an improved version of the old planet invasion screen!Really, anything that Master of Orion II had, all those years ago, that GalCiv doesn't. That's what should be added. ^_^
What's missing is telepathic races that can capture planets and spaceships =P Unfortunately, it would almost certainly unbalance the game unless they had significant weaknesses

Mythos is a Massive Multiplayer Hack and Slack Diablo-like clone. It's pretty good for a Hack-and-Slash, I've been in the beta for about a year now. There was a bot in their IRC channel who would give invitations to their beta. As for Oblivion, it's my favorite single player game of all time. GC is my second =)

Nevermind; My question is answered now that I see the change log but I can't edit my post ^_^ Edit: Actually that's REALLY weird, I can edit this post but not my other one. Thank you for your hard work, patch makers!

BoogieBac, the main problem people are complaining about seems to be that the AI stops doing anything with the tech tree change. Also a question: Will the patch reverse the tech tree change or make it optional?

I play games with my girlfriend myself. It sounds like she likes hack and slash games: Diablo 2, Sacred, and Titan Quest all fit that bill. There's also an interesting, free massively multiplayer hack and slash game called Mythos too. You would probably like Neverwinter Nights I and II.

Thank you Stardock for releasing the patch even though you are tied down!
Getting a bit off (well, way off really) topic here, but how can anybody not find this highly amusing! And yet it's this type of attitude that's seems to have led to an insane blind consumerism in a country tanking to third world status with crippling debt, offshored economies and production, and the 'mainstream' population still seems completely oblivious to the cause and effect.*Hops off soap box and decid

It's not because you were Terran. I've never played Terran (somehow). It's probably partially from your difficulty level, you may want to up it a bit (to perhaps "Challenging"). You get some negative relational factors for setting up influence starbase next to their planets but it's not usually enough to go to war. You get easy positive relational factors for having a trade route with them and having the same ethical alignment. You only get the battle screen when the fight is f

What the hell is wrong with the creators of this mod. Don't make me register for your retarded forums just so I can download your mod. And certainly don't make me wait for activation. Have you even tried signing up on your own forums!? The sign up duplicated every field! There are so many easy ways you could distribute this file - bittorrent, megashare, a crappy dreamhost site, ... I feel like I'm in the 90s. Your first post even says "coming soon". Couldn't find any 9

I agree, I would love a Linux port of any of Stardock's games, mostly Galactic Civ II. I use Ubuntu 95% of the time. I hope that Stardock finds enough time/resources to fix the issues plaguing the game in Wine: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=3081 Or perhaps, Stardock can come to an agreement with Crossover Games as some kind of bundle. That would be pretty cool too.

Just want to point out that the new netcode would probably use UDP (or possibly TCP) Hole Punching to allow inbound connections through a router/firewall. I'm new and I haven't seen any announcement about it but this is what it sounds like it would be.
