Sounds like they are on it, read this last page of the interview: http://www.crispygamer.com/columns/2009-04-28/rush-boom-turtle-the-man-behind-the-demigods-of-demigod-9.aspx
Marr: So you would load up a game and you'd only be able to play one side, Forces of Light or Forces of Darkness. <b
Quoting ToxDrawace, reply 10 *snip* Actually, I mentioned that only two (or even one) of the DGs would be playable at a time. Every 24 hours a new DG would be selected. The user wouldn't be able to re-download to get the one they want, it would be based on the DG Main server. They would have to wait until the one they wanted gets picked, to be able to use that one that day. For Example: T
He does use a little mana, but I wouldn't focus on the mana as much as attack and damage, and for ooze it would be good to get some healt regen. (I don't know if you were in beta, but ooze used to take mana instead of health per second, and it took me some time to get used to it.) the speed boosts sound pretty good. I haven't ever put that many speed boost items on him before. I find that his passive speed increase and a pair of boots is usually enough, but that is an interesting idea
When I use UB, I do bestial wrath, the passive slow down attack, and the passive speed UB up. I buy items that increase attack speed and damage, and then I whomp on people before they can react. I usually go for the exploding corpse/plague skill later on, and either foul grasp or increased stats depending on whether i feel I need a stun or not. It works pretty well for me. :-)
Reguarding the Demo: I'm strongly against the idea of only allowing 2/4 DGs for the demo players. If this is finalized, these select two are going to overrun the matches, and give these two demigods the apperenace of "noob characters." I think that the demo players should have the ability to play as each DG;
The thing is, if you let the demo-er choose whatever Demigod they want, there will be people who will just re-downlo
WTF WTF WTF WTF this is the ONLY thing i don't like at ALL. Smack talk is a BIG PART of DotA, continued on to be a BIG PART of this game, and practically all online MP games. I'd rather not have karma points deducted because I am doing what the nature of the beast calls for! I don't want to group up with nasty people, that would make is miserable for ME!
Are you kidding? If you feel it is ok to "smack talk,"
Demigod isn't trying to copy DotA. Right.
Sure there are lots of similarities, but there are also a ton of similarities between Empire Earth and Starcraft. Do you think Empire Earth was trying to copy Starcraft? Because this new genre is so small, it's hard to think of Demigod as not "copying" DotA because it's more like DotA then anything else. I'm not saying Demigod isn't supposed
I think the Demo should have only 2 characters unlocked. Idealy it would be one assassin and one general. Also, maybe only have a few (like 3 or 4) of the favor items unlocked, because favor items are supposed to be purchased over a period of time. I don't think they should be allowed into Pantheon, and in fact maybe they should only be allowed to play skirmishes and LAN. I think LANs should have maps restricted, maybe one small and one large one available, However, I think for online skirmis
I do want to say, while it is missing a few features from DotA, it does have a bunch that aren't in DotA. For the decadillionth time... Demigod isn't trying to copy DotA. As for not having clans, I'm glad they are spending more time on fixing the connection issue right now then giving up on those that can't connect and not giving them any support. I know you said you don't care if I tell you, but give it some time and Demigod will really shine. It's already got my vote without
I just want to throw this in here. I live in South Africa. I purchased Demigod because it looked awesome, even though its a multiplayer focused game and you guys were having problems with multiplayer, coupled with my huge distance from other players. I wasn't expecting internet multiplayer to work for me too well, but I was looking forward to lanning the game. To the point, I have been playing in the pantheon and I'm really h
can anyone say "hypocrites?"
One concern I had; if your ISP hates P2P can you manually opt to connect through the proxy server? So that you can bypass P2P all together. For example, if your ISP will shut down your connection or reset your connection if it detects P2P... you could conceivably connect to other players just fine... but then about 5 or 10 minutes into that game, BOOM. Disconnected. And the NAT wouldn't be able to save you by connecting you to a Proxy because you we
TB is practically a walking skeleton mage. If you look at the few parts of his body that are exposed he's all chared and wirey. I think that looks pretty evil. And I personally think evil when I see QoT, but I can't tell you why I feel that way. Probably her red eyes and wings and stuff.
This sounds cool. Sort of like ENFO's Team Survival maps for WC3
That's exactly what I was thinking. I totally play that all the time, even just 1 player for kicks. (Hero Builder)
TB and QoT are both evil. did you read QoT backstory? 2 Light Assassins: Regulus, Rook 2 Dark Assassins: Torchbearer, Unclean Beast 2 Light Generals: Oak, Sedna 2 Dark Generals: Lord Erebus, Queen of Thorns
I mostly scanned the posts, but I didn't seem to see anything about the fact that Impulse is Stardock's. It was made by stardock. Putting Demigod on Steam would be like putting Half life or TF2 on Impulse. Besides, Impulse has only been around a year. I definitely think they can get to where steam is. Also, there's a whole thread on whether or not Steam should be the only distributor: http://forums.demigodthegame.com/339313 I ask all you Stea

Clearly apples to apples. Great argument though, clearly shows you graduated second grade.
To be honest, you both look really stupid right now, so
Also changing the in game currency from gold to dollars would be an enormous improvement.
Why dollars? These guys are fighting from all over the universe aren't they? or at least from many worlds in some quadrant of the universe. We have plenty of different currencies on just our planet. If anything, I think it should be changed to a made up currency, rather than to dollars. I don't see the problem with gold though. EDI
Actually, from what I hear, it costs ooooooooodles of ca$h to make the demigod maps, but if somehow they can make a map maker/editor that would make this problem a lot less of a problem.
I beleive some stores have the collecter's edition available, including gamestop, but not all retail boxes are the Collecter's Edition, so whether or not they are still available or if they have sold out of the Collecter's Edition would most likely depend on the store you go to
[e digicons]:sun:[/e] One hot thing [e digicons]}:)[/e] and one thing from a hot place. Is that helping?
haha, no one's posted in here for half a year! This is a good idea though, and needed a bump.
PLEASE keep the updates coming. If people don't want to read 'em, they don't have to! just like in-game, the more options available, the better!
I've been wondering this as well. And I don't think it has to do with not being finished, because I definitely remember Brad mentioning how slick he thought it was or something.
