Had some interesting ranked games last night. Overall they went well, went 4-2. My losses were due to horrible team comp. I really hate when people can only play one role in ranked and just pick that role no matter what other people have chosen... My last game with Lux mid was probably the most fun. Was up against Kennen and dominated him. Had two blind snipes which I wish I had recorded. Just estimated where the low health person would run to and fired. Very satisfying. Went somethin

Pacov- Sorry to hear about your wife's Grandfather. I send a little extra holiday cheer your way. Has anyone tried out any of the new runes? I'm not sure they fit any of the champs I've been playing lately (Lux, Renekton, Kog Maw) Also, I have to admit, this is the first new champ release where I've been really impressed by the artwork. Even in the champion spotlight I was thinking this would be a champ I might buy just to see her in action. &nbsp

Don't have much experience playing with Urgot, but have seen him be a very strong laner. I think his main weakness is that he needs to get in close to use his ult. His ult is also the closest thing he has to an escape mechanism. Most of his damage is single target as well, but with a successful early/mid game, he can take people out pretty quickly. Glad to hear you are having success with him. Are you building manamune on him? I'm not looking forward to playing against Ahri wi

I owned Akali as Renekton top the other day. Maybe they were just bad, but I just harassed like crazy from the start when they went for creep kills and dashed in and out before they could do much to me. Throw an AOE where they are going for creeps in the shroud or wait for it to end. It's all about learning when you will win in a trade of aggression. Positioning is essential against slippery opponents like Akali.

Solo queue was an absolute nightmare last night! I don't think I've been more frustrated with this game...everyone is all over the place in terms of picks, jungling, laning pairs...well beyond normal. Maybe I just have to care less, but I do want to improve, which I can't at all when things are like they are right now. -end rant

I went 6-1-6 with Amumu in the new jungle, despite having an absolutely garbage team that couldn't hold their lanes worth anything. I kind of like the new set up, particularly for champs that were susceptible to counter jungling. I got Amumu to lvl 6 fairly quickly and although it's a lot harder to do an early gank with him, taking less dmg health/mana to kill creeps helped. The consensus seems to be that Nocturne is the new king of the jungle and his ult gives him a ton of gank poten

Fancy new thread I see! KrdaxDrkrun just a tip, keep an eye out for UNIQUE BONUS in item descriptions. Many items including Rabadon's have this. In this case, the 30% AP bonus only applies once so you are far better off to build another high AP item rather than another Rabadons'. It only makes sense to stack a small number of items, for example doran's rin

Quite the drama for CLG with the whole Elementz getting kicked out/Doublelift in thing yeah. Chauster is getting a lot of hate. Mid is something I need to work on. I can do fairly well with Lux mid, but it's tough to beat high burst champs like Brand/Leblanc/Annie. One surprise flash, burst, dead. To roam well mid, you would probably need a better farm and a kill on the enemy mid champ. Bot lane is definitely my strongest. Maokai top can be pretty fun. I will likely

We all have to start somewhere. I had never played ANY DOTA style games before getting into LOL. I did absolutely terrible in the beginning. I'm not going into specifics, but it took me far too long to figure out how tower aggro worked ;D So don't feel bad. The Tutorial is a good way to start like others said. Get a feel for last hitting minions, the range of different champ spells, learning summoner spells and when to use them, etc. There are tons of resources for you to lea

I've actually been just getting into Kog since he is free this week. 4 PDs on anyone shouldn't happen. He had to have been insanely fed/farmed to even afford that, assuming the game didn't drag on. AD Kog is usually a fairly typical Ranged DPS build: AS Boots, Inf Edge, PD, Last Whisper, BV, situational. I went 16-8-18 once I got the hang of him last night. Some people prefer to rush Madreds, but I think it is too expensive going into mid game. Late game vs warmog's wo

I was frustrated by that game as well and it is mainly from things that I don't think are that hard to fix. It's all about prioritizing and thinking in terms of the team. Clearing a creep wave only benefits you, unless the tower is getting hit hard. Killing the dragon gives the team 950 gold. If there looks like a fight could happen at the dragon, you should already be on your way there.Defending a low hp tower probably isn't going to help as much (although I'm guilty of that

@ Thundercles I haven't played Veigar too much, but landing the stun and dark matter alone can pretty much kill a squishy so that is always fun! That doesn't sound like a bad time for clearing re: WW. I find Stonewall's jungle vids pretty helpful when I'm trying to learn new champs. Also, is your username on LOL the same as here? @pacov <p

Well the tool tip says this: Event Horizon - Veigar twists the edges of space around the target location for 3 seconds, stunning enemies who pass through the perimeter for a short duration. Veigar twists the edges of space around the target location for 3 seconds, stunning enemies who pass through the perimeter for 1.5/1.75/2/2.25/2.5 seconds.

Excited by the mastery changes. I like that there are some geared towards supports (+starting gold, gold/10). I think those along with receiving more $ for assists could encourage a bit less passivity with the bot meta. The new cleanse and surge/promote should shake things up a bit too, although Trynd with cleanse could be brutal! I'm a little surprised these are going into the next patch. Could be a rough week for stability. I was 3/6 last night. Lots of trolling. Would lov

MOM was the first computer game I ever bought actually. I played a near release copy of it and I remember it crashing constantly, causing no shortage of frustration. I would save the game every couple of minutes. It didn't stop me from loving the game then, but I doubt I would be so forgiving now. Then again, patching is a much more streamlined process now (mostly). We have much higher expectations from games. I remember making a sandwich during the 7 floppy disk install which took over a

To me the upgrades give an opportunity for more unique heroes. Heroes were my favourite part of MOM because they had personality to them and every game they could potentially have different attributes. Traits unique to certain heroes would be great to see. Also, different hero power classifications that scale with the game(basic/advanced/legendary) These could be unlocked by tech/quest lvls or specific events/spells/reqs

I enjoy support and tanking in general, although it is thankless, unless you make a really obvious good save. I often sacrifice myself for the greater good and people don't realize there could have been 2 or more deaths if I didn't. I also play Taric and Mao alot. Ashe and Lux are up there as well and Amumu if we are desperate for a jungle. I've had quite a bit of success bot with Janna and Graves. Knockup, dash, buckshot and a few AAs and that is quite a bit of dmg. Shie
