Yeah, but that would only be single map specific and have to be done in Galaxy Forge, which would take longer to design a single map than actually play a game.... Isn't the point of this to do a single specifc map?
In a way, yeah, but I would rather have a modding solutin than just make a singl map. This way I can use the same mod for multiple maps if I choose....

SO I think I found a work around. First I tried to go in and just delete the research subject files for the the galaxy travel techs. That caused a minidump on trying to load the mod.... I thenm tried to just up the cost of the research until it was prohibitively expensive. This looked like it would work, but I also wanted to make the workhole travel easy to get. So I just changed the effect of the gaxaly travel t
I haven't actually used galaxy forge. Can you generate random maps with it? I'm looking at it now and it seems like a lot of trouble.
So I made a pretty cool map. Its about 15 individual stars all connected by worm holes. 12 players with 1 star each. It's kind of fun, but I think it would be better with a few tweaks. 1) Allow only worm holes for star to star travel. 2) Get Pirats to use worm holes as well. So I have no experience modding SoaSE (actually very little experience modding anything), however, I'm thinking that #1 would not be too hard to do. If someone could either
I downloaded this and am playing a game as the advent and am seeing almost no differences between this and the vanilla game. I am playing version 1.05 english. 1) Frigates and cruisers have same shields as vanilla game, carriers have no weapons and carry one unit. Capital ships seem to be unchanged. 2) I think this might be included, but am not sure (still early in the game). 3) Still early, but I have explored one entire star system and the planets are all from the
Uploaded yet? Just wondering, not trying to be pushy. Sounds like a good mod and I'm itchin to try it.
Katoran, the game is designed so that the player that is the most powerful becomes the target of attention of the AI's, causing them to ally with each other early. Because (I suspect) Sins is coded so that every player MUST HAVE at least one enemy at all times, Sins is satisfied in a 1v1v1v1 unlocked game that the human player is that enemy, so its factions will end up ganging up by default if the human player doesn't establish a ceasefire with one of them. The whole thing is solved by get
I get more or less the same thing and it is really causing problems. In a 6 - 8 skirmish I may enter into an alliance with one or two other factions. Then, when I am getting massively hit by the AI's factions (this may involve 2 - 4 factions) I will get my allies to defend my planet, but low and behold, my ally is in a truce with ALL OF THE AI FACTIONS that are attacking me!! Essentially, all of the AI factions have a truce, so my allies are useless in helping me defend. I ju
