well i was asking actually under the assumption that there dosent exist a competitive scene in the game, so i was thinking it was still time to change the standard competitive options.
LordCarlos
Didnt know that, thx, that will prove to be usefull.
u should try high towers + warscore low. now THAT is slow.
i played one with warscore low, and it was torture untill i decide to go demigod killing style and the enemy surrendered. i spent some time playing fast speed settings in single player mode and its not that bad, maybe ill have to try that on MP.
I have a couple of hotkeys i would like to apply for consideration, so maybe they can come with the next path, i feel that for a competitive game, hotkeys are a must at least the ones that are related to basic control. As a sedna player ive tried to micro my minions and this are the hotkeys i feel will be usefull to gain full control of the minions as a general. 1-Hotkey to select demigod: After i hit "m" and select all my minions and move them its always ackward to then click on the
What do you guys feel should be the standard options for casual, fun, and competitive games? Personally i feel the default options are a little slow, i like to go fast spawn rate and high minion damage for faster games, but what do you guys use?, what do you feel is mor fun? and what do you think should be the standard for competitive play?
No soy sudamericano mas bien vivo en el caribe, pero si desean me agregan a su lista de amigos y podemos jugar cuando sea.
Im gonna call this right now, IMBA, IMBA, IMBA. Nah just kidding it looks great, and i though UB was anoying, now people will now what anoying means.
You know i did like that last idea, special items that are not in the shop, maybe they are not stronger than those ones but at least a 10 second aura item or something like that, that might work.
I thought about the idea for some time (10 secs) i think theres 1 problem with it, i dont think its bad, but considering the importance of flag locks big mana and hp potions making them drop from creep will give AoE demigods like TB, QoT or anyone with a good AoE too much of an advantage (but thats my opinion), take it from me from a guy that played an MMO where you killed tons of monsters quickly, getting a 3% item is easy, granted creeps are not that much, but they are a fair amount.
What ShakenBake said its true, Going speed rook is losing rooks advantage all together, i mean whats the point of going speed if you still need a stunned enemy to hit hammer slam or you need an enemy in your tower farm to be able to win. Rook is not about where you can go but where you can make the enemy go, and when you are slow and you are running they seem to get this false confidence and just go and atack you, i prefer my slow rook, speed dosent give me any good advantage and im s
This seems a balance change for bad players, and in the end bad players will always find a way to screw up, if its not feeding it will be something diferent. I can understand why you will want a balance for low and med players but balancing the game thinking on bad players its just a way to unbalance it, bad players should not be taken into account when thinking what should be done to balance the game out. Eliminating gold rewards for killing demigods will not solve the problem, it wi
Just Forget man you seem to don't undeerstand my point, and labeling a game "pro" will make it harder to find good players and easier to find the jerks.
You should take your own advice and read what he said, he is not saying you are bad because you played pantheon, he is saying that most good player will not have the rank you are looking for cause they mostly play custom games. And you label all your games pro? danm you must be good.
Restricted unit movement around and through Citadels on all maps to prevent pathing errors and exploits for Generals and Minions. 'Erebus' bug. this occured when i was loading a multiplayer game in the internet. the game freezed and as u can see the items and skills bar appeared and menu bar too
That would make it for latter levels but it will mean hell in early levels.
Thing is Reg normally needs the extra mana. And he is not going against using snipe as an opener but using snipe in random ocattions when you do not expect to follow with other snipes, or so i understood.
Random Rook thread FTW. Nos on-topic, the fault goes to his design, people see a big moving tower and they think they can out last every obstacle, you jsut have to learn he is a big moving tower that was made on a low budget, it crumbles easly.
45.56 for schobbo Edit: (I love random post)
OH my dear freind WOW, i hope it burns in hell, never really played the original and even so it has a especial place on my heart, yes ... my dear WOW ..... i will hate it forever, and the forums? yes i know. WOW can be Blizzards black sheep but even so we cannot deny the new features and standards it created for MMO's , Blizzard even when doing it wrong does it right.
Guys, Guys im not comparing the games, im comparing the situations, its not fair to say a game is bad so early on, its not fair either to say that a game should have ceartain features and then dismiss those features as irelevant just because they should have come out from the start. GPG is not a bad company, they are no Blizzard but even so i think they can take care of Demigod, i don't think they are bad enough to pull a Left 4 Dead on us especially when all the promises has come from
Corny is good in this game, but you know light vs dark is not the right place to put all of this, its more like gray against light gray against dark gray against darker gray or something like that.
Oh no don't get me wrong BLIZZARD is the KING, but considering "Stardock" on the GPG/Stardock mix i have a lot of confidence in them. Blizzard has the expirience and i know Demigod might never be "THE" competitive game as starcraft is now, but still i just wanted to demostrate to all the people that say that "Demigod should have this", "Demigod should have that" or "is too late for Demigod now" that the Kings of Kings started as a humble peasent too.
Ive always felt that some demigods were not on the right side, i mean regulus killed so many people and he dosent seem to feel bad for it, or erebus being or wanting to be good and not being able to do exactly that. I've never liked good and evil in games cause being good or evil is so relative, Demigod at least creates a backstory that gives some personality to the DG and let us know that they are not all bad and not all good.
Its too early to say if they do or do not care, give them some time, it taked quiet some time for the balancing changes to come for starcraft, it will take some time for GPG too. True games today should have learned, but really give me a game that came as balanced as demigod right our of the box or with so few bugs, they exchanged the time they would have used to create features for time to balance the game better, i dont think theres that much of a diference, even by today standards
