Ah...what a fantastic task you have ahead of you! I've often found that while the world itself is important, the characters that populate the world are just as important. And as this is an RPG of course you'll want to spend some time on them. I want to write a longer response to this, but I'm at work and probably should be working. I'll gather my thoughts and will probably end up responding several times. Let me start you here, though: The Hero Myth. Read anything by Joseph C

"Under certain circumstances, profanity provides a relief denied even to prayer." -Mark Twain Shakespeare had some excellent insults as well, if you are in the market for insults. They can take a moment to unravel, giving you time to run away. "Were I like thee I'd throw myself away." Taken from: Timon of Athens

Having moved far too manyt imes in the last couple of years, I feel your pain! Good luck with the move, and juts keep in mind that it will all be worth it.

Slipknot - It's possible that you have an older version of WindowBlinds (or the shareware version) installed and the theme may be trying to use that. Try uninstalling both WindowBlinds and the WoW theme, and then reinstalling the Wow theme and see if that works. If that is not the case you can contact [email protected] and they should be able to help you. Good luck!

I just heard the news through Zoomba on #joeuser irc (he was kind enough to relay the verdict for us in that channel). Frankly I was surprised. I realized that I assumed he was guilty because of the prior accusation and settlement, and because the snippets of circumstances I heard sounded suspicious. In truth, though, I haven't followed the trial at all and perhaps there was information in there that really did prove he wasn't guilty. Perhaps I judged him to harshly...or not. But yes, I was surp

Stardock is moving to a new office currently. The move is happening over the course of a couple of weeks, and obviously moving can be a stressful time for anyone. Mormegil, who is already working out of the new office, took this picture with his camera phone. Kind of makes all the effort worthwhile! Check out the link below!

Zoomba, an excellent article as usual. Although I do think both sides - or rather, all sides as I do try to encourage the idea that there are more than 2 parties - could benefit from the advice. So often these "debates" are not really debates but mudslinging from both sides. I try and stay out of the fray. Better to remain silent and have people think I don't know anything than to open my mouth and remove all doubt.

I have moved 4 times in the last 3 years, and once was across the country. The company I work for is now in the process of moving to a new office, and I can tell you that moving is very, very stressful. There is nothing comfortable when your surroundings, previously warm and safe, are now all different. Even if you get your personal stuff unpacked and put away fairly quickly, it still doesn't feel right and won't feel right for some time. But I promise you that in time it will begin

What a lovely eulogy of your grandfather. I was very sorry to hear about him, but I'm very happy to know you have such a great family to help you over the rough spots. Take care.

Two possiblities: 1) They get incorrectly sorted and end up in someone's sock drawer where they don't belong. I don't usually look for missing socks in a sock drawer, so they could be there for ages. 2) They are still in the washing machine, they have just gone over the side of the "tub". Taking apart your machine might reveal a wealth of socks. Might also be behind the washing machine. Or perhaps they are stolen by sock gnomes? A dimensional door has opened and the socks fell out of this

Today's lesson will be short and sweet, class. Then we can all go outside and enjoy the sunshine. I realize that some of us live in darkened rooms and that the thought of emerging pale and blinking into the sunshine is a foreign idea, but we should all give it a try. Later. Open Deskto

Even placement advisers at most schools recommend padding your resume to fill in the gaps. I've never heard that before, either from placement advisers or from employers who are looking to hire good employees and in fact I've heard just the opposite. Personally I think honesty is the best policy but perhaps my morals are getting in the way. Wh

I've come to believe that you're only as poor as you believe yourself to be. Excellent point. I've made good money and I've made very little, a poor is all a state of mind! As a child I grew up in a very large house, but for various reasons we had a hard time affording the basic necessities like heat and toilet paper. I think you can be "poor

Maybe it's because I haven't caught the animated series Clone Wars or read the Prelude to episode III novel. I haven't read/seen these either. Maybe it would help, I should check it out. Thanks for commenting, Raven.

Unfortunately none of the bloggers in question have violated the terms of use for this site (to the best of my knowledge), but I understand your frustration. Whether people are writing an insightful article on some social issue or just blogging about their day I'm happy to read. If it's mudslinging I get tired of it. Some people love it though, and if they don't do anything to get themselves banned, what can we do? Just ignore them I suppose, but many do not. I respect your decision. :/

I have been reading some of your poetry, and I quite like it. This one is very nice. (Sorry I'm not more eloquent in my praise. I'll leave the eloquence to you).

What more reason do you need to live, lady? Bwahahahahaha! Too right. I agree that there were many good - and occasionally great - things about the movie. While I do understand that the groundwork for Anakin's reversal to the dark side has been laid, I still think it could have been done bette

Sounds like you are 5.5 feet tall (roughly) and weigh 145 pounds - which isn't too bad. You'd like to weigh 132, which is reasonable. You don't have far to go! I also have a problem with the evenings. All I want to do is sit on the couch and eat! You must combat this with some other activity. You could try knitting or embroidery, which will keep your hands too buys to eat. Put a puzzle together? Clean something? Play computer games or surf the internet? You could try getting out of th
