Gideon: Sorry to hear you won't be seeing it in the theaters, but it won't be long before it's out on DVD. Iconoclast: I never even thought about that. Thanks! Zoomba: I think your analysis is right on there: B quality movie with A quality effects and produc

I noticed that George Lucas has a ledge fetish. If you have two people near a ledge, a fight is going to break out. If a fight has broken out, something nearby is going to turn into a ledge. Hilarious. With everything else going on I didn't even notice that. I couldn't agree with you more about the "

I did not feel the passion between these lovers, which makes the performances kind of unbelievable. Sadly I think it makes a lot of the storyline unbelievable. But it's Star Wars, so we go with it. I also think it was worth a trip to the theater. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/JU/smiles/Smile.gif

Danny: Yes, popcorn is scary, if only for what it does for the size of my waist. ModerateMan: Special effects are not my area of speciality, but I think Lucas has always pushed the boundaries in this area. Hopefully others with more knowledge will respond in detail to you, but from my perspective they were pretty amazing. Mormegil: Ya. ~sigh~ Zoomba: I hear you. However, $300 million does not a 'B' movie make, or at least it shouldn't. It's not like Lucas wasn't

I saw it over the weekend. Frankly I think the popcorn at my local theater is getting better. Usually it has the same taste and consistency as salty cardboard but this time there was a little bit of butter flavoring to it that really brought out the subtlety of the cardboard. Not too salty either. I don't like it when you pop a piece in your mouth and the texture is gritty from salt. Sometimes when popcorn gets old and you crunch a piece just right

True Story: I knew a guy who accidentally stabbed himself in the heart with an exacto knife. He was using it at work and asked a co-woker to put a new blade in for him. The co-worker did so and rolled the knife across the table to him. This genius said to himself, "I bet I can hit that with a hammer and stop it". He hit it with the hammer, the blade leaped into the air, slid right between his ribs and nicked his aorta. He was not a thin man, e

Doc's always tell us to never put anything in your ear (except your elbow). Undoubtedly you will go to the Dr. and the first thing they will do is poke something in you ear. Hopefully it will clear up!

Found it. Only took me a month. Had to give up looking and focus on my class for a while - make sure the little buggers did their homework and were ready for the final. I'm sure you've all been holding your breath.

"get a life" - if only! I'm with MasonM; where can I buy one of those? Funny how we say things to each other so flippantly online; it's so easy to believe that there isn't a "real" person on the other end of the computer. "Get a life" is a very uninformed thing to say. Good point Raven!

I've been through earthquakes, but nothing else. Earthquakes usually don't last very long. You can at least run away from tornados and hurricanes (given sufficient warning), but earthquakes are pretty darned exciting. They sure do get your heart going, even when it's just a little "jiggle".

When I was a kid, I was eating lunch outside with my siblings and when I went to take a drink of koolaid I felt a sudden frantic buzzing in my mouth. I opened my mouth to scream, letting out a stream of red koolaid and a very, very frightened and confused bumble bee. Poor thing, he was so messed up he couldn't even fly straight. Thank goodness I didn't swallow or bite down. o_0

I'm not talking about people with dyslexia. I'm talking about people who can't spell or use punctuation who are supposed to be well educated. Not everyone who is weak in a certain area has a "disorder" in spite of what some would like us to believe. This is true, but how do you know the difference?

What I've always found somewhat disturbing is well educated people who couldn't spell or punctuate correctly. I suppose that's why the secretary was invented. Why "disturbing" MasonM? There are disorders that prevent otherwise intelligent people from being able to spell correctly, etc. And spell-check isn't perfect either, as I'm sure we've al

While I do know the difference between and apostrophe and a comma, I've been dying to get this book. Thanks for the reminder, I'll have to put it on my library list! Or maybe I can find it somewhere for a dime...what a bargain!
