So much adviceto impart to my former self, so little chance of following through. There are a few moments in high school where I definitely wish I had done or not done things, but you are right - most of my advice to self comes when I entered college. Most importantly: stop spending more money than you have, and save some of it. I CANNOT stress the importance of this enough. Secondly, take any chance necessary toward achieving your goals. Any chance. Need to live out

*Andes mints ~drools~ I'm like Pavlov's dog. Ring that bell once and I'm drooling.
I was a good child. I did my chores and rarely talked back and did my homework and when I didn't do my homework and did poorly in class I took my bad grade as proof that I needed to work harder and then I worked harder. I didn't throw things, I didn't have tantrums, I didn't steal. And yet I needed a smack upside the head or on the behind on more than one occasion. <TD class="m
You know how 'they' say that when god closes a door, he opens a window? I think in this case he demolished an entire wall. That is so good to hear! Hooray!
Fun quiz! Welcome to JU.
Wow, chalk up one more plus for living in England: it's proximity to "the mainland"! How very exciting! Have a great time.
We got about 6 inches of snow, man! What's the deal? Ah well, it is pretty. Thanks Danny.
Many people have trouble reading the written word due to dyslexia or other problems. For those with that problem they should check out audio books. There are many thousands of audio books out now that are not abridged and are read very well. Try www.audible.com Link ; they have a subscription service. F
Sadly, I think greywar might have a point, but I believe finding a person to have a relationship with can be done without resorting to those measures (with all due respect to the learned greywar, of course). I think part of the problem is one of confidence. Women still, for the most part, expect men to approach them and not the other way around. You said you stood in the corner for an hour and then left, and therefore I assume you did not approach anyone you didn't know to introduce yourself.
It is snowing. It started yesterday morning and it continues now. It is sticking. The weather guy says it will continue for the rest of the day, but should turn in to snow tomorrow. And here I thought it was spring, what with the leaves coming out on the trees and flowers blooming. Silly me. <FONT face="arial, helvetica, s
Your Linguistic Profile: 70% General American English 15% Dixie 10% Yankee 5% Upper Midwestern 0% Midwestern Thanks, that was fun.
I'll see what I can do I look forward to it, Danny! If you don't post for a while I'm going to assume the kitty got you.
Trogdor and Tall tales - two of my favorite "T's"!
Welcome! (A little late). It can be hard to get noticed here, but sometimes just getting your words out there is good therapy. And it sounds like you might be a little uncomfortable to be inundated with comments. You say this is a poorly written article, but I understood your meaning clearly; how bad can it be? With regard to the problem of not making eye contact and having a hard time talking to people: it sounds like you are already getting therapy but you might branch out
Danny - careful! Kittens will scratch the living sh** out of you and not think twice. I was once punched in the eye by a kitten (who thought he was attacking my blinking eyes in the dark), who then scratched my leg as I got up to go check and see if m eye was ok. This cat was named Lucifer. Coincidence? I think not. Invite the devil in and all... But I hope your kitty has been a little more fun. I am bad. I'll say! Recently I have found myself ignoring dimes on the street. Quarters I'll still beat up old ladies for, though.
I'll be damned, I came up Gangsta........ Ain't that a helluva thing?
These questions were pop culture gang references. Which is why I scored as high as I did, I think. I don't have a lot of practical knowledge about the thug life. Perhaps I should have another cup of tea and read a nice book on the subject? <TD
They're sneaky I tells ya... I'm beginning to suspect I have some sort of memory problem. When's your birthday again? Just kidding! (kind of) Raven and Moderateman - Good points, both of you. I haven't been too active in searching, but I haven't officially given up and called Best Buy, so I'm assuming this is why the check hasn't shown
Oh, and maybe you should try out that ginko stuff to help your memory... Or better yet, put a calendar reminder up to remind you of the other calendar entry you already have to remind you Don't be a smartass young man, I'll beat you with my cane! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/JU/smiles/Wink.gif
Part of the value of having a list like this is it helps me highlight what I still want to accomplish. Kudos on the list, I must start my own soon. I just keep forgetting to do it... When was your birthday again? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/JU/smiles/Laugh.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmidd
Bwahahhahahahaa...who would have thought? And I wonder how many of us have actually lived the "thug" life, or how much of this is from TV! Thanks for playing, all!
By this stage it would be a case of not wanting to waste the effort more than the money if I was in your shoes! Too right! But with that money I could buy a new trash can...perhaps one that doesn't lurk. I know y
Suddenly wondering what I've forgotten about... Although I'm reasonably certain that this article wasn't directed at me (but that would make me not the center of the universe? Dang!), you make an excellent point here and I wonder what comments I may have left and then forgotten about. Or worse yet, not responding to comments on my own blog. Yikes! But then, I rarely have too many commenters, so I can usually respond to them all. It is possible that on some of the blogs you are thinkin
