I don't have children, so I can't really say. It is possible you will change and you will see, but I'm not sure that necessarily equates to having to play in the sandbox with your child. If it's not something you want to do, then don't do it! Find your daughter friends of the same age and let them play in the sandbox together while you hopefully enjoy "adult" time with the parent of the other child. I think there are ways of allowing your child to have fun and be a child without having to act

I was spanked on fairly rare occasions as a child. When I was I deserved it. A quick swat on the rear and I stopped doing whatever it was I was doing that required the swat. I think Zoomba makes some excellent points here. As a child I would much rather have remained ignorant than have my father sitting in on sex ed classes. Kids are supposed to be able to ask questions. It is amusing, but usually the scam ones have a link to some place you are supposed to log in, so it is a little bewildering. Sounds like you made the right decision, though.
