It takes a lot to share that kind of thing and I have a great deal of respect for you for doing so. Hopefully you are more often "free" than "imprisoned". :/
Cordelia
-"in French means to rejoice, ecstasy, pleasure" That's pretty cool!
Ugh. Deep breath. One day at a time. This too shall pass.
Thanks trinitie!
And write a blog!!
Dag: Getting better. Just getting over some panic about...everything. Plus, I miss everyone in Cali - you know how it is. You are not a bad mother, you are stressed. No, you should not take it out on Emma, so try to stop that. You are soon to go home... We will be out there at the end of July for a wedding. We could see you then? And you are always welcome to visit! Email me and tell me how you are (if you can).
'Back' is such a relative term. I'd say this means I think friday fives were fun and that I'll try to post one every friday Well, I'm glad to have you here whenever you can get here! I hope things are going well.
"...if you were the one to drop of the face of the earth tomorrow, that your parting comment to all your JU friends could be something as trivial as "I had cheese for breakfast this morning" Well, that quote got me, as I have been posting pretty much crap recently. Admittedly, I do use my blog to keep up with friends across the country so I share little tidbits of my daily life that is only interesting to
Wow! I actually didn't understand anything you said except that Blog Navigator wasn't posting before and now it is. I heard a quote once (can't remember who said it) that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. You are, in my world view, a magician. Thanks for all your hard work on this!
I don't know who wrote this originally, but I got this via e-mail and had to share. Creation Story: In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth and populated the Earth with broccoli, cauliflower and spinach, green and yellow and red vegetables of all kinds, so Man
I should hire your family; I think I'll be needing some painters soon!
1/ Upon finding the snow, what is your first thought? Oh crap, not again. 2/ What do you think you'll do differently because of the snow? Start the car about 15 minutes before going anywhere. 3/ What will you wear when you go outside? I’ve been slowly creating a cold weather wardrobe, the latest addition is tall boots, so I’ll probably wear those. And a warm coat, scarf and gloves. And the regular clothes, of course. <img src="../images/smiles/joke.gif" border=0 ALIGN
Oh honestly, if this was my actual day do you think I'd be posting it on a site run by my employers??
gibb89: you originally asked where you can download the Windows XP theme, and I THINK this is what you are looking for. https://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?SID=1&SkinID=2776&LibID=1 However, I do encourage you to e-mail support, because if you ever delete the WindowBlinds program then this theme isn't going to work for you anymore. WindowBlinds does not delete skins on
This was a great read, thank you! Having been a graduate student and worked around graduate students for years, reading your article was like a walk down memory lane. And of course some of these grad students bcome professors but retain their...uh...idiosyncratic ways. And I almost laughed out loud at #4. I had a really hard time getting to know my husband, because it always seemed that the minute you talked to a guy about science fiction books they are in "love" with you. Luckily my
And "good" depends a lot on your taste! You might check out the screenshots gallery also to get an idea of where others are getting their stuff. What colors do you like, what sorts of walls do you like, how do you like your skin to function...there are so many options here its absolutely amazing.
sspearl - I'm a newbie too, don't feel bad! As for what file types Logons and Bootscreens should be...I *think* the file extensions are .bootscreen and .logonXP. Could be wrong. When I dowload files I often save them to the "My Downloads" folder, although more experienced users may tell you to do otherwise. I've never had a problem loading them once I downloaded them, so I'm at least 1/2 right. You can also save them to your C: > Program Files > Stardock > Wincustomize
Ok, so when you download them you same them to C: program files > stardock > object desktop > WindowBlinds and they are not there? Do you download through the WindowBlinds program or just by browsing through the galleries? (You should be able to do it both ways, but just asking). Also, what Operating system are you using?
Gahh! Cheater! Good trick, though. Thanks!
What later? I'm drunk right now! (JK). Thanks serenity. I wish I had your...ah...serenity.
I’m stressed out, I’m pissed off and I’m eating McDonald’s AND drinking a coke – for the second time this week mind you! Our house is supposed to close on the 28 th . I’m not really sure what my problem is, exactly. The house is closing, it has all gone as smoothly as anything could possibly have gone, we have the money we need for closing, and yet…I could just scream. <P class=MsoNorm
Congratulations on your 23 days of sobriety. I hope that the trend continues and that you are getting the help you need.
Uh-oh, does this mean I’m no longer a newbie? Not at all! In fact, the very fact that I would refer to it as “advanced” is proof positive that I am still a newbie and, let’s face, always will be. ;p Did you know you could skin your computer on a per application basis? Well, neither did I until someone pointed it out to me. Assuming you don’t have someone to point it out to you either, I will have to substitute.
zubutix: it most definitely is possible, and since it's taken me so long to respond you may have already figured it out. First you need a program that will help you change the icons. Wincustomize makes one called CursorXP. I wrote an article about it similar to this one. You can get it here: https://www.wincustomize.com/Articles.aspx?AID=60983#512238
Gahhh! Well, I haven't been keeping up too well, have I? sophiesboy: I honestly have no idea how to answer your question. Sorry! I recommend making a separate post in the forums (if you haven't already) or contacting [email protected] .
