The included mod, "Boots of better speed" was created by yours truly. I left some comments in the mod info file to help some of the newer modders. Anyone familiar with FA modding will be right at home.

The ring of fire thing was odd. Luckily I was able to find a solid repro. the bug only occured when you clicked on the Ring of Fire button while you were already casting. Fixed it this morning. Hopefully we will be sending SD a new build later today.
Is the bug where you have to have the regular price in gold available before being able to buy at the reduced price fixed as well? For example, item X is regularly 1000 gold, but I can't buy it for 15% off unless I actually have 1000 gold instead of 850.
Yes
Well, since noone else is I will take a crack at this question. Bear in mind, I am just a content engineer, so I don't deal directly with Stardock and can only comment about what happens at GPG. Stardock sends us a list of changes they would like to have done. Those changes are handed out to the appropriate people. When those changes ( or at least a bulk of them) are completed, a build is made and sent to Stardock as a WIP build to have Stardock QA take a look a

I think the key thing you guys are missing here is SD is the one paying for updates so they dictate when they happen. As for the number of people working on the patch: Yes, I was the one who coded the abilities, but there were several other people who did work on other things like VOs, ability icons, lobby and victory movies, etc. The desync problem had received quite a lot of attention, but noone had a solid repro, so it was like trying to find a needle in a hay stack. Log me
1.2 includes a fix for stuns being removed because of interrupts.
Shadow Swap has an interrupt component.
Balance changes fall in the realm of our gameplay engineers, I'm just a code monkey. Also, Stardock requests the changes, since they are the ones paying for them.
I haven't gotten my ready to play invite either :(
At the moment, yes. But, since we now have a solid repro, we should be able to fix it before 1.2 goes out.
Sorian made a post where he discussed some things he found that MAY resolve the infinite connectivity screen. I hope that's the case and thanks so much for progressing this! http://soriandev.blogspot.com/2009/10/cautiously-optimistic.html
Update: Endless connectivity is fixed, but the desync is not, but we now have a way to repro it. This should help immensly in tracking this issue down.
I did bring it up to our multiplayer guy. Will double check with him Monday.
Spooky, did you see my reply to you on my blog about logging desyncs?

I started there Aug 31st, so is has been a month and a half. ok <

Demon Assassin still reamins my favorite. Warp Area is the coolest ability ever.
I didn't get a chance to look into it much before I left Friday, so you may be right. I'll see what I can do Monday.
The attack after using an ability issue should be fixed. The using an ability while another ability is in progress thing is going to require a bit more work. The problem is that I believe the system is working as intended. You issue an order to cast an ability, your hero obliges by chasing down the target until it is in range, you click another ability and it gets added to the queue. I think the issue is the inability to cancel an ability without having to give a move order or some
Password blanking was added as a neccessary security measure in anticipation of modding being added in 1.2.
I thought the Netcode stuff was handled by Impulse, unless you are playing LAN. Could be mistaken.
No, I was able to get a model of Unclean Beast in the game in 1 day and got him to auto attack and use 1 ability. There were no effects to speak of, no voice overs, no balance, no skilltree, no lobby movie, no avatar movie, no ability icons, no lobby icons, no achievements, no backstory, no localizati
We are still working on the 2 new Demigods. Some of the effects were being wired up last night. I don't have a timeframe bacuse I am not sure what else has to happen. I am sure VOs still probably need to be done.
Fire TorchBearers auto attack doesn't fire on the move. It has been previously said that an animation was being worked on so he could auto attack while moving, is this still the "plan" on has it been dumped? When would this be put into demigod? 2.0?
I don't believe it was ever said that an animation was being worked on, only that a new animation would be required to truly fix it and that this was being looked into. I have not hea
