Apparently each of us makes about a kilogram of co2 per day that enters the atmoshpere when we exhale, about 300 kilograms per year from breathing.
This CO2 is part of the natural carbon cycle and it gets taken in by plants. We are not the problem. What is the problem is that forests are getting bulldozed so less CO2 is traken out of the air and less O2 is made, but ialso CO2 from fossil fuels is not a part of the carbon cycle. It is "extra" CO2 being dumped int
every SW movie since the first has been on a slow decline in quality and vision, tending more towards an after school cartoon than a serious story.
Thats purely a matter of opinion. Original trilogy was good, empire imo is better the the first one and is more darker the the first one. Luke vs Vader was dark so the cartoony ewoks getting killed lightnened the mood, but were a bit annoying.
Didn't you just say that SW and ST were the type of sci-fi I am loo
I want a movie that takes place in outer space; that deals with politics on a grand scale; that focuses upon relatable human characters who are trying to make it in a big, dangerous universe. Instead, we're getting sci-fi movies that have more in common with fantasy than with science fiction (i.e., we get furry Ewoks
Very ironic that you mention ewoks when starwars is all of those things that you mentioned, as is the latest star trek movie (minus the politics). I can'
My apologies, I was reading through some web posts about Stardock's Goo system and thought it applied to Sins as well. From what you said, it doesn't. But I think it was a reasonable assumption to believe a developer would use their own DRM system.
Thats fine man. I didn't read all of what you wrote in your original post, so I got the impression that someone told you that Sins has nasty DRM.
I would hardly say they have a strong anti-DRM policy by the way
I've heard about the DRM this game carries
Biggest load of BS that I've heard in a long time. Sins has no DRM or anything like it. All you need is a registration number to patch the game. Stardock published Sins and they wrote up a Gamer's Bill of Rights and have a strong anti-DRM policy.
Saying that the global temperature has decreased over the past 10 years and therefore global warming is a hoax is utterly meaningless. Its the long term trend that counts. Those people who say mad-made climate change is a hoax are almost always journalists and politicians. I've never heard of a climate scientist who said that this is a hoax. I can't possibly believe that we can pump countless tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and expect no environmental effects. Coral
I should be on ICO most days at most times, so I'm easy to find. I have alot of difficulty finding games as well, so this should be great fun. Alot of people are on ICO in the morning, midday and the afternoon. The evening in Aus. is when Americans and Europeans are asleep generally. At 11:00 a.m there is generally a relatively large number of people online.
I'm looking more for the period when the Romans left Briton in the 5th Century and plunged the country into a disparate land of tribes along with the clash with the saxons/christianity and paganism. Would loved to have lived in those times.
Rome total war barbarian invasion is set during that period and it is TBS with real time battles. The Romano-British faction are not playable, but there are mods that change this. If you like fantasy, King Arthur the role-pla
Thanks gamerking. I couldn't find those links the first time due to lag. My only criticism of supcom 2 so far is cybranzilla. The concept is fine, but the name is horribly cheesy. If it was called Draconis Heavy Assualt Bot or something I would be fine with it. Also, the reason why Square Enix is teaming up with GPG is because it wants to make games for western audiences, I remember reading that they told Chris Taylor that they want to be influenced by GPG rather then the other way ar
Another thing that is annoying is that scouts do not avoid pirate bases with auto-explore. If the location of the pirate base is known, then scouts should never travel there when auto-explore is on. Its frustrating to have to micro scouts to not go to pirate bases where they are sure to be killed or at least severely damaged. Random maps should not favor one side over another side and pirate bases ahould not be choke points. For example, in one recent MP game that I played, the map wa
Well we do know for a fact that one new ship class is missing. The diplomacy screenshots posted by the devs showed that the TEC (and presumably the other races) get 2 new ships, but only one ship class has been added so far.
Not all features have even been added in yet so it is too soon to tell. In the Diplomacy screenshots, it showed that the TEC gets 2 new ships and alot more diplomacy techs, but only one new ship is in the beta and manyb upgrades are missing.
Fighters and bombers do completely different things.
Which are better/more worth it?
It depends on the situation. Fighters kill scouts, siege frigates (most things destroy these) and long range frigates. However, their true purpose is to kill bombers which they do very well. Fighters are the only units that counter bombers. Bombers destroy structures, starbases and cap ships.
Thanks Spooky. I can't find any of this new stuff on the main website, could you provide a link? The official website doesn't seem to have much.
delivrance engine, its useless, i needed 20 to take over a system
You have no idea what the Deliverance engine is for, do you? The Deliverance engine gives that planet your own culture bonus and removes their culture bonus. Also, it boosts the DPS of friendly ships. It is extremely inefficient to use 20 all at 1 planet at the same time. It is NOT meant to be used that way. The effects of the Deliverance engine has a cap. "Staggering" shots is a much better way to use th
One really bad upgrade: Raider Xenophobia. This upgrade reduces the number of pirate ships per raid so your cap ship doesn't get as much free experience. Really bad upgrade. Karmic Retribution isn't used much because people turn pirates off. Expert Bounty Hunting is pretty meh. Diplomacy changes to pirates may make these upgardes more worthwhile. No-one uses Planetary Shields or so I've heard, and I havn't seen it used online so this upgrade probably belongs on the list or nev
This upgrade really does suck. Adding weapons to civilian ships doesn't sound like a good solution though. I'm not sure exactly how it could be changed.
Yeah, I've played Diplomacy a little bit, but only to check out the new stuff for all the races. I haven't played a proper game yet. There are two new difficulty settings: Cruel AI and Vicious AI. I hope that they live up to their name. Not all the features are available yet, the changes to the pirates have not yet been added. The Diplomacy tech trees are similiar for all races. I would post screenshots but firefox won't let me.
I would give you karma, but you double posted.
Making mines would be very bad because it would take forever to find all the mines and clear them. "Mopping up" would be very frustrating. Mines should disperse through the z-axis more and also be cheaper.
The Theory of Quantum Bioholography predicts that all of this is possible for several reasons. This link here explains it better then I possibly could.
Good work. I'm looking forward to the upcoming battle to save the Valiant Sector.
I would give you karma, but I do not want to give encouragement to big heads.
I don't think that people are saying that Vasari sucks, only that some of their ships have very low cost-efficiency (sscout, skirm and enforcer). Maybe phase stabilizers should be logictic structures and so you must sacrifice capacity to construct ships to have phase stabilizers. Alternatively, maybe phase stabilizers should only act as a Dark Fleet Beacon OR a phase stabilizer, but not at the same time and the player can toggle between either.
Reducing the build time of the Orky, but making up for this by making Assualt Deployment better sounds reasonable imo. I don't want to touch the Orkulus issue though. I think that the idea of an anti-SB SB is a design blunder because: fortresses are inherently defensive, Orkulus versus Okulus is messy, there is nothing to balance it against and using it this way is a gigantic gamble and therefore impractical. An Orkulus is an enemy grav-well may also be up against a more heavi
