Just for you, Koobalt[e digicons]:P[/e] I give you the Boomer-class Basestar, once again hardpointed by ZombiesRus5 (I'm sorry for the pain this no doubt caused you[e digicons]:P[/e] ).
Quoting Rosco_P, reply 10 There are a few things to keep in mind: 1) We're still taking care of the Thanksgiving backlog, so there may be some delay in our response. Please be patient, we will get back to you. 2) When you send us an email, it resets the "Last Activity" on the ticket, which is what our system uses to order the tickets. This means every time you send us an email, you
You can try EVE free for two weeks. The link is on their website. From my experience, EVE is definetly not for everyone. I really wanted to like it. It just looks amazing. The ships are absolutely gorgeous. So I got the trial, played the tutorials, messed around for a little bit, and then gave it up. It's just soooo boring. I couldn't stand it. You literally have to spend months or even years to get some things (namely, the ships that I think are the coolest). If you watch the Zero Punct
Ok, I know that a while ago I said that when I start posting pics that I'm close to a release... that might not be 100% true[e digicons]:P[/e] I just want to post a pic to show something off, and it does not necessarily indicate an upcoming release. So, with that said: The Ressurection Hub, kindly rehardpointed by ZombiesRus5, as the Cylon S
I think this points out a huge problem with gaming akin to when AOL got onto the Usenet. The problem, without going into "What is usenet?" is that when you present pearls before swine, you have a well dressed pig. The mentality of Generation Y (born before after 1982 or so) is to just go for rankings, not to enjoy the game. I have not played multiplayer starcraft because of this. I tried World of Warcraft, saw the
This is not true...while gravitational acceleration is independent of mass, gravitational force is not, and it is the force (not acceleration) that matters here...the thrust of each ship is different and would be determined by engine design, not mass of the ship...so, smaller ships with more thrust per unit mass would be affected less by a gravity well...in sins, this would mean that capital ships are going to be a lot more vulnerable in large gravity wells like stars and gas giants si

There's already a SW vs. ST thread on here somewhere. Please, for the love of all that is decent, don't necro it when you find it. It's come back too many times.

You do realize that half of those pictures you posted aren't actually views of the game in action, right? It's mostly a bunch of concept art and boxshots. The troll from Elemental was concept art; they don't look like that in game. The first two "pictures" of Age of Empires are promo and not the actual game. Warcraft 3: Definetly not what the game looks like. Fat Princess: The first pic is promo art, the second isn't even the same game. It's fanart of Princess
I'm bumping this, just so everyone knows it exists[e digicons]:P[/e]
I know I've been doing a pretty poor job of keeping my lists updates, and I apologize for that[e digicons]:'([/e] . Hopefully with the five day weekend coming up I can catch up a little. In the meantime, I got permission to create a listing for Elemental on Mod DB . Obviously there aren't any mods on it yet, but this will hopefully help organize some of the chaos of the modding forums[e digicons]:P[/e]
Really? The Nvidia website's store lists 14 different modelshttp://www.nvidia.com/object/graphics_cards_buy_now.html. Even if you combine all the GTXs into one, all the GTs into one, etc, you still get five different models. AMD/ATI individually list over 25 different GPUs, combined into the series there are least fivehttp://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/Pages/desktop-graphics.aspx.
Compare that to the who-knows-how-many different configurations of PCs that are out there, and the fact that two machines can be identical in every way except for one component, and a given piece of software can work on one but not the other. The only real differences are the OS and the GPU family. That's where 99% of the platform differences lie. So lets see: Windows, Mac, Linux (if you count Linux), Nvidia, ATI and Intel. It's not as different as you have been l
You could also argue that's a downside of PC gaming. You have to test your game on every configuration you can come up with (and/or afford) and you'll probably miss some. Look at the release of Elemental. Weird crashes and errors resulted on configurations that hadn't been tested. It's not fair to pin Elemental's issues on the PC platform, they stem from something else. If you compare PC and console platforms, all the same issues exist. You have to worry about Wii vs PS3 vs
The great part about the PC platform is that it's free (as in freedom). No pillars to adhere to, no approvals to wait for nor any serious upfront capital investments to access platform tools. You can either do it or you can't. The hardware will always be there, it's in the IHVs best interest without games anyway. It's not like a console or other embedded device where a few mistakes can make the whole platform die.
You could also argue that's a downside of PC gaming. You

I would be willing to bet just about anything that, barring some sort of horrible disaster that causes IC and/or SD to go out of business, there will be a Sins 2 at some point. Not necessarily any time soon, IC is working on their secret land-based RTS, but eventually. As psychoak said, it was way too successful for there not to be a sequel. I'm also fairly certain that at various times IC and SD have said that they aren't done with Sins yet, although IC wants to take a break from it
