Pretty much stated it all in the topic/sub. Now what..? I wasn't aware of open testing... If this is a beta or similar I'll hop right on it to provide the best information possible.

After I click to launch GC2:ToA I get the error (though can still play) Error: galactic civilizations 2: Dark Avatar needs to be patched to 1.80C.096 or higher to run in order to run ToA. I have all of my GC2's fully updated. If I click ok I can still play ToA, though if I click on Events there is a crash, along with some random crashes. -Any support will be most appreciated.
I usually build a Halcyon Carrier and imediately save up for a Progenitor Mothership right afterwards as soon as I've researched the right tech. With this combo no "neutral" faction can stand up to me and colonizing is easy and quick. Usually by the time the mothership is built, my halcyon is ready for battle and has already cleared two or three planets. It's just a matter of having the mothership follow the halcyon's path, colonizing everything on that path until it catches up with the h

You either: A: Click each time a fleet is ready in your phase stabilizer (The ability to the left) Or B: You right click the ability to have it auto send ships to that node, each time RA is ready. I hope I helped, -Red Soviet "*cough* One day I'll have atleast one kudo =)"

Great responses, I really am content how this thread is turning out. Anyhow, I'll be honest that I never believed so many fellow advent players use alternate starting capitals other than the Mothership. Not only is it an absolute amazing ship, it's abilities are fantastic. I don't deny the greatness of the Radiance for instance. But I have *never* had any problems with militias/pirates early on in any multiplayer game with the Mothership, along with her ability to colonize and
Radiance. Because I like it's look the best.
As far as design, the radiance is the most appearance friendly, with a sleek streamlined hull. With the siege cap being my least favourite (Been playing so much vasari lately I forgot it's name >. -RedSoviet

RedSoviet here, I enjoyed the vasari "Favorite" ship topic so much, I wanted a topic for the same reason for my other favourite race: Advent Post which Capital ship is your most effective. What tactics you use with this ship and any other capital ships you use. The order and effectiveness of each ability trainable. Pros and Cons you have

I personally love RA, the fact that you get it with each phase stabilizer is great as this structure is a must have for offensive and especially defensive movements. I haven't had to much play time with the vasari support ships, but have found the amazing effectiveness of Enforcers against fleeing fleets (The slowing upgrade, I forget it's name but is a must have with RA especially since your fleets size causes fleeting tactics much more.) And of course the greatness of upgrade
